Helen Mirren | Now & Then (PHOTOS) (Stylelist)

Jul 26th 2011 6:33PM Long time fan of Helen Mirren. I remeber her when she was in Excalibur in 1979 as Morganna. She was also hot in Caligula. And if you want to see her at her most beautiful and desireable see "The Passion of Ayn Rand". As they used to say on Wayne's World, "SHA-WING!!!!"

'Fair Game': The True Story vs. the Movie (Moviefone Blog)

Nov 6th 2010 6:22PM We know why Armitage leaked her name to Novak. Because Novak opposed the War, Armitage was a Democrat hack that opposed the war and wanted to discredit it. Wilson lied from the beginning first he went there under false pretenses, then reported that Sadaam was buying yellow cake Uranium, then he wrote a letter to the New York Times (whose own investigative journalists spent 5 years writing articles claim WMDs in Iraq ... one of these journalist went to jail for contempt of court for refusing to name her sources and not telling the lawyers who told her Valerie Plame's name to give to Novak... (the answer was no one since she never heard of the woman until Wilson said it in his letter to the New York Times, and the lawyers knew before then that she wasn't the one who leaked it).

Oct 27th 2010 8:46AM Any one else notice that the sign DWTS uses a Nazi Seig rune for the letter S. But what else would you expect from the Adolf Brodcasting Company. (or also known as Always for Bill Clinton).

'Dancing With the Stars' Results: Who Got Voted Off Oct. 26? (AOL TV)

Oct 27th 2010 8:42AM What in the world are you people , and the wriers of this article talking about. Jennifer Grey is not a professional dancer. She danced in one movie 25 years ago, has been in about a half dozen non-dance movies (including Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Red Dawn). The fact she has some definite natural talent is besides the point. And all of you who complain about Bristol Palin, remember it was all the Libs in the media who now complain that she is famous, that were the ones trying to destroy her and her mother in 2008. They made her famous and now complain that people actually like her. Wah, wah, wah and Boo hoo hoo.

6 Lamest Remakes of Great TV Shows (AOL TV)

Oct 23rd 2010 1:07PM What else do all the worst shows have in common? They "jump the shark" in the first episode.

6 Lamest Remakes of Great TV Shows (AOL TV)

Oct 23rd 2010 1:01PM The article mentions "Twilight Zone" but how about "The Outer Limits"?

I agree with "Battlestar Galactica". Years ago when there were "Newsgroups" there was one dedicated to this remake and how bad it was going to be, even before a single episode was shot. All the "changes" that were to have been made, set up extremely low expectations, and the show couldn't even live up to that.

New York Parents Fit to be Tied Over Racy Homework Assignment (ParentDish)

Oct 10th 2010 2:22PM I too read F451, but not in High School. And it is also one of my top 10 movies of all time. Saying abortion is a "big part of the plot" is ridiculous, it is trivial at best, I can't even recall it being in there. It is much like abortion being part of the movie Dirty Dancing. It is important for the plot to begin developing, and becomes mentioned in the end, but it is hardly the central premise of the movie. The "sex" is more sensuality than sexuality. Plus it is all viewed in the negative sense of the world without literature, and imagination, causing people to degrade towards an animalistic nature. And once again it is not the central theme or point.

But the issue here is not what adults could or should choose to read. The point is what children in school should be exposed to and how the parents should determine it, not some "substitute teacher" coming along and deciding.
