How Gwyneth Paltrow Starved, Er, Dieted to Slim Down for 'Iron Man 2' (Lemondrop)

May 15th 2010 10:08AM Whats with the Kale. It is a wonderful veggie very similar to spinach. It is a move thicker and course than spinach and can be planted in a small planter even people who live in an appartment and have a small patio. You just steam it like spinach. And why not blend it and make a drink. It is healthy and good for you and I am sure she is using a number protein powders to make sure she gets the proper amount for her body and some people who use things like shakes with protein and eat steamed meats (fish and chicken) are far more healthy than those who eat fried foods and butter. Everyone should wait their salt intake. It causes bloating and it is not good for you cholestrol. Maybe she is doing a little excess but she is doing it for a job. That how she pays her bills. And a cleanse can help anyone from time to time. They help to flush out built up in our bodies. You just shouldn't do it all the time.

Michelle Duggar Hospitalized; Thanks Fans For Good Wishes (ParentDish)

Dec 8th 2009 5:45PM Michelle and her husband take care of their children and do not get food stamps, or any kind of assistantance. If they want a large family thats great. I have watched their program and there is much love and respect in the family. More families should be like this. I hope that she is doing great and all is well with baby nineteen. They teach their children values and respect more than I can say for mothers who have one or two and can't even take them to the grocery store. I think that it is everyone's choice to have as many children as they want. There is much love and respect in this family. We need need more people who teach their children the way that these parents teach theirs. They are a close and loving family. Sure they blelive a little different than other do but that seems to be working for them.... I think that these children are loved and taken care of and that is more than I can say for many of children out there. Jimbo and Michelle are great parents. It is so noticeable when you see them toghether. May God Bless and watch over this family. There should be more love and closeness in famiies like the Duggars.

CVS to pay $875,000 to settle allegations the chain was selling expired products (WalletPop)

Nov 11th 2009 8:44PM Every company will have some merchandise on the shelf out of date. It is very hard to prevent. However the between the brokers and store employees a lot of it should be pulled. But I have to tell you that even with my being in my stores regularly it was not unusual to find buggies full of merchandise out of date each time I call on the store. I must also tell you that not all people who do this for a living was as serious about their job as I was. It is best to always check your especially your meat and your dairy products. Baby Milk and Baby Food should be checked. If you have a small child and buy these products, they are open coded and you can read the day. Especially anything that could potentially harmful ro you. (HBA) Health, Beauty Aid are seldom over looked. Especially products that are for the eyes. Saline and eye drops. If you notice that there are products out of date. Stop by the office or tell someone in the department. Most products are open coded.... when I first started working for the brokerage companies products were coded and only we could read them. The law pass several years ago and all products are suppose to be open coded by a certain year. Most products are open coded now. It is ok to sell close coded products which most stores place in a grocery cart at the front of the store and are reduced by at least 50%. Most products even out of date will not harm you as they put a date on them that are well within the time limit of the life expency of the product.

CVS to pay $875,000 to settle allegations the chain was selling expired products (WalletPop)

Nov 11th 2009 8:21PM I worked for a Food Broker for 16 years and it was my job to go into the stores and rotate the product and pulled out of date product and place it in the backroom to send back to the warehouse. Usually I would mark thru the upc code vertically so that the product would not scan. Most stores would send it back to the their warehouse but because they do not get 100% of the retail price managers will place it in a sale cart or put it back on the shelf. Most managers were appreciated of the job that I did and the merchandise was sent back to the warehouse for credit from the company. But in some cases it would wind up being sold. Most products have an expected date of expiration and the product is ok for consumption. However it is unlawful for a store to sell out of date merchandise. Most/All companies have brokers who represent their product in just about every state. Many stores pull close dated product and place it in a reduced cart to sell. Many companies give the store an allowance for out of date merchandise according on how much is ordered. Either way the stores are covered for the loss by the company thru the broker or manufacturer. It is the chain/broker/broker company responsibilty to have their reps check to make sure that product does not get sold. Their are products that are more seriouly dangerous if sold such as meds but even meds do not stop working automatically the day of expiration. However you will always find managers who do not want their inventory to be short............ South Carolina Broker....

Verizon to Repay $30M Over Unwanted Phone Personalization Charges (Switched)

Jun 27th 2009 9:20AM Verizon allow backdoor companies to charge monthly fees on the Verizon bill. Like the $9.99 monthly fee that I was charged just because I answered a questioner. I agreed to do business with Verizon not some sleezy company that scams their way into getting $9.99 from me and Verizon allows this and probably gets kick backs for it.
