Tacoliatelle - Fancy Fast Food (Slashfood)

Jan 31st 2011 11:44AM I agree, it was a total waste of time. To each his own, but I could not watch this. Are all his videos in Shaky-Cam mode? I now have a headache.

Website Agrees to Stop Selling Contact Lenses Without Prescriptions (WalletPop)

Jan 28th 2011 1:18PM Then you would still be in violation of FTC rules. Contact lenses, no matter what you call them, can damage the eyes if not properly fitted, cared for and maintained. I have seen many patients with eye infections, etc. because they wore them too long or did not clean them properly. It is sad to see someone lose their vision, even temporarily, because of carelessness. You only have one pair of eyes; take care of them.

Oh Ricky, You Weren't Fine: Gervais Banned From Globes Hosting Duties? (PopEater)

Jan 17th 2011 9:58PM Robert Downey, Jr. said it best, "hugely mean-spirited with mildly sinister undertones". It wasn't a pleasant evening for those in attendance, those saying to lighten up would not be saying that if they were there for a happy occasion and, instead, were being insulted.

Detroit 2011: New Chrysler 300 goes from 8 Mile to the world (Autoblog)

Jan 12th 2011 11:32AM I thought GM was "Generic Motors", but it looks as if Chrysler wants the trophy now. I owned a 1993 Plymouth Acclaim. This car looks like a throwback to it. If they made the grille fall below the bumper it may have helped improve the look.

'Green Hornet' Star Edward Furlong in Jail After Violating Restraining Order (PopEater)

Jan 12th 2011 11:14AM Perhaps Seth Rogen is wise enough to not get involved. He may even agree that violating a restraining order is not something to support.

Best Websites to Buy Prescription Glasses (WalletPop)

Jan 11th 2011 12:40PM By all means have your eyes examined by a licensed doctor of optometry. The health of your eyes is important. However, almost no optometrists make the glasses themselves. The prescription is sent to a lab to make the glasses for them, which they receive and hand over to you. ZenniOptical is such a lab. They use the same prescription and measurements any reputable eye care professional should give to you and make the glasses. Remember, by law the prescription must be given to you when requested. You may choose the lab which makes your eyeglasses.

Best Websites to Buy Prescription Glasses (WalletPop)

Jan 11th 2011 12:32PM I am also an eye care professional. By law in every state, you are allowed to take your prescription with you and get glasses anywhere you choose. EyeWize is only telling his half of the truth. Make sure you have the optometrist or optician give you your P.D., this is Pupillary Distance which you will need to order a proper fitting pair of glasses.

I have used ZenniOptical.com for my eyeglasses and found them to be of good quality. I purchased progressives with magnetic clip-on shades AND a pair of single vision sunglasses for $76.85 total. At work they charged customers $600.00 for the same thing. At those prices, you can gladly pay someone the $5-$10 they charge to replace a single screw or adjust the frame. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER.

The Vyne Lets You Embarrass Yourself and Wear Your iPhone (Switched)

Jan 7th 2011 4:52PM Laugh all you want. My hand gets cramped and sore holding my iPod Touch to watch a movie or surf the internet. It seems like a logical idea.

Bride Sues Groom for Leaving Her at the Altar -- To the Tune of $95K (Lemondrop)

Dec 16th 2010 12:17PM The poor guy probably saw that she was spending way too much on the wedding and saw what this meant for their future... and ran for his life! Now she wants the groom-to-be to pay for HER wedding spending spree. But, never fear, she found a way to blame it all on the man... typical.

High School Basketball Player Attacks, Tosses Referee: Video (Fanhouse NCAA Basketball Blog)

Dec 15th 2010 12:34PM From the local newspaper article:
Yet, the condemned has something else to say. Something rather surprising. Something impressive.

“They’re all upset at Sheridan and what kind of program he’s running,” Holland said. “It’s not Sheridan’s fault. He’s running a good program. It was my decision on the court. He didn’t know what was going to happen. He couldn’t read my mind.

“I made this decision. I’ve got to learn from it.”
