Mar 12th 2010 7:42AM I tried running the PC wow version on my iMacs bootcamp partition. I was hoping for a dramatic improvement, because I thought I heard it was optimised for Windows game savvy coding. Well, I didn't see any difference, not even the framerate seemed to be better - so I switched back to my Mac. If indeed there is better performance in Windows, it isn't noticeable, and therefore not worth the bother if you already have a Mac. The new Macs have much better video cards, so they will easily handle WoW. My iMac is 3 years old and when I am in Delaran, it can be laggy at certain times of the day (when lots of players are in there).

Microsoft has different operating systems for Xbox, PC's and their new mobile phones. It takes a lot of time and energy to maintain all of these separate systems. Apple uses the same underlying foundation for its desktops, iPhone and iPod touch's an now iPad. Big difference.

Actually, it isn't. Only the hardware is. If you want Facebook and Twitter, wait until the end of the year, same with games. If you want an app store, it could be a year away. Who in their right mind would buy a device only half done?

To be 'over-powered' means you lose. In the context of of the sentence it seems to contradict itself.

Does the author mean 'over-powering' which means you win?

That is nonsense. It can be easily proved to be nonsense too - put a hundred athletes on such a diet and they will not excel any better in their sports.

To say that his diet is the success story is to ignore the hard work and determination Phelps has devoted to his sport, and also to ignore his good genetics.
