Memo to the Left: The Public Health Insurance Option Is Dead, Get Over It (Politics Daily)
Mar 16th 2010 4:04PM Want GREAT health insurance? Step one, offer all your customers cash discounts....say 10%. Do not report the income to the IRS...every small business understates income. We have to to survive. With the savings, you can afford first rate, coverage. I pay a flat fee per year for my doctor. (cash I might add, lol) I am garunteed an office visit within 24 hours and head of the line privilages, and I pay for catastrophic care with a 20K deductible. Instead of waiting in long que lines, I get a latte from the receptionist and a smile. All of the staff speaks English. (ever been to a VA hospitl?) I love my self-designed healthcare.
So Far, This Is a Better Michael Vick (Fanhouse NFL Blog)
Sep 28th 2009 1:14PM He has his second chance. He is out of jail, albeit on parole. Too bad all those tortured animals, those maimed, drowned, don't have the same chance. We have "no buy" sponsor list, and we will not renew our cable access to NFL games. He gets no second chance from those of us who have pets, great hunting companions, service dogs, shut-ins, dogs who are members of our families. We can't "wipe" away the utter disgust and shock of his unlimited cruelty.
What You Probably Don't Know About Windows 7 (Switched)
May 27th 2009 5:21PM Thank god MS doesn't make airplanes....can you imagine? Whern Ballmar wonders "why" anyone would pay $500 more for an Apple, the answer is simple, they are more reliable, easy to use, have functions that are actually useful. For the techie obsessed who like to spend hours debugging and cleaning up crashes and USELESS error messages, stick with PC's. Ballmer hands his crap off to one of drones to fix..I spend hundreds of dollars every year for PC fixes. I don't have the time the screw with it. I am too busy trying to keep my business afloat. Cost of ownership for Mac is far less than PC's.
Apple Takes on Microsoft's 'Laptop Hunter' Ads (Switched)
May 14th 2009 1:56AM As I look upon my desk top..I have two computers, MAC and Sony Vaio. Both purchased about three years ago, month or so apart. I have spent more money on pay for service items on the PC ... nary one dime...not one on the MAC. Take about 5-600$ off the MAC cost on that alone. The tugboat speed Office is gone for good, replaced for free by OpenOffice. It's a tool..just a simple tool. MS thinks everyone wants to be be challenged and expensed to death by their ops and apps. Never fails...PC's get retired cause people are tired to having to tinker, and tinker with a slowwwing running machine.
Robin Givens Weighs in on Rihanna and Chris Brown (Blackvoices Main)
Mar 16th 2009 1:59AM We all get angry, frustrated, at times with our spouses. My first wife was pissed that we could not agree on a home to buy. I felt we could not afford it and I was not willing to commit to the obligation. The "wife" spit in my face, and slapped me. I dropped her ass where she stood. My second wife of 19 years has never hit, we have no physical violence in our marriage. Like all events, unless you heard, or saw the event..you are simply speculating. Lots of women abuse their men, physically and verbally.
AIG Party Watch: This time a resort in Phoenix (WalletPop)
Nov 19th 2008 6:41AM Ah yes..the great "change" is coming..not. It's the same old bullshit, just a new set of cronies. Now Obama wants an attorney general who assented to a pardon to a fugitive, tax evading, greedy pig under Clinton. What's different? The democrats will pander to their base, teachers union, trade unions, and the most profoundly ignorant voters in the western world. Here comes the Democratic version of teat sucking. The UAW has piled on almost $4000 per car/unit in benefits and wonder why they can't be competitive? When a company is that handicapped and loses market share..where the hell do you think R&D money comes from? I say let them take Chapter 11, restructure the pension and health care benefits and THEN maybe, we MIGHT talk about a safety net. It's so sad to see our great country sold out, by a congress that sups on our tax dollars. AIG execs taking vacations on taxpayer dollars? Congress does it to us all the time..they are called "junkets"..by the taxpayer. Care to go golfing at St. Andrews ? Congress does it. Those junkets cost a hell of a lot more than 350K...those trips cost us billions.
Senator Byrd Hospitalized (Politics Daily)
Jun 3rd 2008 1:10PM Bryd and his like are the princes of pork barrel spending. His like, have spent years fleecing the taxpayer. Chappaquidic Ted is out of commission. The fates are looking down upon us and smiling. I dare say the Democrats will self destruct, again. The country is centrist. Bama' keeps jabbering about "change"..after 6 months what are the changes. Obama is an inch deep and a mile wide. Ah Democrats, even when two liberals fighting it out, the Dems still can't show party unity. Hilary was right, Obama can't take the big states. FL, TX, CA, NY, OH, all have to fall in line and it doesn't look probable.
Rudeness in China Now Against the Law (Gadling)
Jan 11th 2007 11:05AM We don't need rudeness laws...we carry weapons.
Cop the Parisian Attitude (Gadling)
Jan 11th 2007 11:00AM Why learn French? They are irrelevant, effete, totally lacking in cultural vigor. To his dying die, my father a WW ll POW forgave all, excepting the French. Their collaboration with the Nazi guards at the expense of their fellow "comrades" was despicable. At best they are obstructionists, at worst, a dangerous ally. Californai wines are better...nowm if we could just get the cheeses right...
Public or Private schools: What do you think? (ParentDish)
Sep 16th 2006 2:14PM Black on white racism is the reason we chose a Catholic School. At the very least, children have to learn in a safe enviornment. It's an issue swept under the carpet. Yet here in Seattle, the public school system is tanking fast. Over 30% of the in city white children go to orivate school. We do in fact embrace diversity...for certain we want, welcome, all minority students, but they must follow the behavior code of the school. THe end result is excellent. We far outperfom the pblic schools in standardized tests. Parental involvement is not optional, you MUST attend, be active, and involved. Public schools are indeed in sorry shape.
