This Computer Keyboard Tells You When It Needs to be Cleaned (Switched)
Jun 18th 2008 5:40PM ok, so HOW does it "tell" you when it needs to be clean? does it beep? does it glow? and if it's saying it needs to be cleaned every 12 hours then why not just clean the regular keyboards every 12 hours? this has been a pretty much completely useless article when it comes to info about the keyboard.

Tasers: For Kids! (News Bloggers)
Nov 30th 2007 12:17PM I wonder if part of the increased use of Tasering with children comes from the officers feeling like actually touching the children is out of the question? Because you would think a physically fit police officer could easily pick up an 11 year old or at least restrain his arms and legs. I mean, if they can restrain grown men of various sizes then they should be able to restrain a child.
just yesterday there was a story about the police tasering a pregnant woman in ohio. apparently the police couldn't tell she was pregnant because she was wearing a big coat. But besides her being pregnant, there was really no good reason to taser her to begin with.
i think the taser is really being abused and there needs to be more regulations for when and how these police can use them.
The terror of roundabouts (Gadling)
Nov 14th 2007 4:55PM there's a roundabout on PCH in long beach. i avoid it at all costs although i suppose it's not that bad.
Should cupcakes be banned? (ParentDish)
Oct 1st 2007 2:43PM this is ridiculous. i really don't like what is happening to america. what is wrong with these people? our food culture is whack because so much of our food is prepackaged and unhealthy so we do need to change that, but the problem is that it's OUR food culture. unlike countries like italy, france, and india we don't have our own special foods that are actually healthy and fresh. our foods are over sweetened and over fattened and that's our lot. it's time to change that, yes but not by BANNING those things. educate people as to WHY those things are bad rather than just saying "NO YOU CAN'T HAVE IT!" and then we'll see results.
Disinfecting your dishwashing sponge (DIY Life)
Aug 29th 2007 1:49PM I have tried this many times. i soak them thoroughly and they still end up stinking up the entire house as they're microwaving and continue to smell afterwards.
i don't know what it is though but it seems like even when the sponges are kept in a place where they can dry out they still get incredibly stinky after only a few days of use and that stink NEVER goes away!
maybe i use them too frequently because it feels like i end up washing the dishes up to 4 times a day so maybe they just never have a real chance to dry out?
anyways, has anybody who has tried the microwaving trick had the same problem with stinkiness as me? was this was the lemon juice was used for?
10 Things You Can Stop Cleaning (DIY Life)
Aug 29th 2007 1:40PM who fusses over cleaning soccer balls? and if you have a gas or electric grill, that's just promoting more energy waste, and besides it's gross. then you have charcoalized meat left on the grill that get on the new food you eat next time, i've tried it, it just doesn't work that well. that stove drip pan idea is a great one though. and i agree with everyone on the bed making, it just feels better getting in a made bed.
The $1,000 trash bag (Stylelist)
Nov 30th 2006 1:50PM i love how #18 would take her chanel charm off of her $2000 chanel bag (when really, it's that CHARM that cost $2000, not the bag that you could get anywhere) and instead put it on the trash bag to imitate a $1000 chanel bag.
smart oooonnnneee.
and you people need to get off your trips. this bag does NOT look like a trash bag, just because it is shiny black and some stupid article repeats another stupid article about it looking like a trash bag.
it's the cutest purse i've seen around in a long time, a billion times better than those pathetic louis vuitton monogram bags that are just like walking billboards for capitalism.
and #3, most of these "high fashion" crazes start in europe, paris to be exact and they get big there before coming here. if you knew anything about fashion you'd know that.
Grandmother gives birth to her grandson (ParentDish)
Oct 3rd 2006 6:36PM aida'scashcrop: do you have ANY idea how much money it takes to raise a child? im sorry your wife screwed you over but that doesn't mean you can be an ignorant chauvanistic pig.
you should also realize that women and children are the most poverty striken people in the entire country and you want to know why? according to the census bureau 8376 custodial parents were awarded child support by the courts. but guess how many of the parents were actually PAID their child support? 3,290!! simple division will show you that that is only 40% of custodial parents getting the child support they need.
and guess what, 5/6 custodial parents are WOMEN. which means that it is 60% of women who are NOT being paid by their delinquent exhusbands who are too selfish and scummy to help their wives out.
so why don't you go get a DNA test for your wife's son, prove he's not yours, go to the courts and get that handled so you can stop complaining and saying such ignorant scathing remarks with absolutely NO grounds. and while you're at it, tell your friends to stop complaining and take care of what they started which was a family.
oh and if you want to check my figures AND LEARN SOMETHING OF VALUE you can go to this website:

Beyonce's Birthday Present (Luxist)
Sep 12th 2006 1:05PM i too am tired of seeing beyonce's face or hearing her atrocious songs she's been putting out lately (and god they gave her the worst make up on the latest makeup commercial she is on these days, i mean really, its the worst eye shadow job i have EVER seen on a make up commercial). ill take her money, sure, but i wouldn't want to be her, i like being myself. but money, yeahh... ill gladly take anybody's millions. im sure i could think of much better things to spend it on than a car she'll drive around in twice a year.
