Melissa Joan Hart Loses Baby Weight, Feels "Amazing" (That's Fit)

Jun 1st 2009 1:08PM I am in the EXACT same situtation. Sometimes I think being skinny is almost worse than it would be to be overweight. When someone sees me the first thing they say is always "Do you eat?" or "Oh my goodness, you are looking kind of sick? Are you feeling ok?" And honestly I am a tiny person, short and skinny but I can put away food like no other. I love food.
Whats sad is my mom came with me to the doctor one time and the doctor asked to speak with my mom in private and she asked my mom if she noticed me going to the bathroom after meals or if I spent an unusally long period of time in there because MY DOCTOR thought I may be anorexic or bulemic!
The truth is, I have a kidney disease which usually causes weight gain in many patients like my father who also has it, but im doing the opposite. I have been tested for several other things but no one knows why I can't gain the 15 pounds that are needed. I currently am 5'2'' and weigh 92 pounds, and besides having a kidney disease and occasional low potassium or b12, I am completely healthy. The problem is, even though I am healthy now, being underweight has the potential to create other health issues and can possibly create long term health problems that are irreversible. The same goes for overweight individuals. You can be a little overweight and clinically healthy now, but carrying around a lot of weigh on a small frame will eventually catch up to you. Unfortunately there is nothing some of us can do, and sometimes when we can it takes a very long time to get to that point.
I do not think this article is promoting skinny perfect bodies. I think she looks amazing, and not at all crazy skinny. What it is saying is that she feels great, and shes healthy, but it took a long time and a lot of patience. I don't see how that is in anyway negative at all or promoting that all women need to be a stringbean. People need to grow up, I hate how in this world people are so easily offended at the dumbest things.
