Boy Saves Friend From Drowning, Credits 'SpongeBob SquarePants' (ParentDish)

Jun 13th 2010 12:45PM AS to teachers teaching CPR. I think schools could get the Red Cross to come and teach the classes for little or nothing. I think that is a great idea. I believe our high school has offered it to those who wanted to learn. Maybe it could or should be worked into the PE cirriculum as a one or two day course .

Boy Saves Friend From Drowning, Credits 'SpongeBob SquarePants' (ParentDish)

Jun 13th 2010 12:41PM One of the first things I did for my children was make sure they learned how to swim. I do not know how to swim and hated when I was younger and all of my friends were having a good time and I had to stay in the shallow water....YAY for Reese and his bravery and thank you Spongebob creator for showing good things on the show. Obviously Reese has had his swimming lessons.
As to teachers teaching character traits and social skills....I say if you are a good teacher you are already working these skills into your lesson plans, it should be a given. And if not, and this is how I feel about this:First i want to say that i love my children to death and i want the absolute best for them that this life has to offer and i think in order to have those things you need to have excellent social skills and character traits and a good education, whether it be public (my children are public educated)or private. Yes, I am instilling these values in my children but I am certainly hoping that you teachers, who spend more active time with my children on a day to day basis, are backing up the values that i am trying to teach to my children. Some parents lack these values and therefore are unable to pass them on to their own children..and that is where you have generation after generation of immoral character values from people that really have no idea that they are doing anything wrong. If anything, just show some compassion.

Should Your Family Share a Bed? (ParentDish)

Jun 9th 2010 2:31AM My 12 year old still sleeps in our room, on the floor, next to the bed! She has been on the floor for 5 years since the 3 of us could no longer be comfortable in the bed. It is a scary world out there sometimes and if she feels safe in our room with us, so be it! She is a very smart confident child who is still a a bit innocent and naive and who are we to tell her that her fears are ridiculous. She will face those fears when she is ready!!

Michelle McGee to America: 'Stop Taking It Out on the Mistresses' (PopEater)

Apr 13th 2010 9:50PM I say that you, as a mistress, screwing the well known Jesse James who you knew was married to the well known Sandra Bullock should have had a hand's off policy. You are the epitome of white trash.

Morehouse Whiz Kid is Causing a Stir: 13-Year-Old Dominates College (BV Black Spin)

Jan 20th 2010 11:30AM What a great story. And to all of those out there that say I can't do it....I am a white, female living in rural America. My son is a freshman nursing major at a private college in the Midwest. My daughter is a middle school student. Both are intelligent children who have been pushed and prodded by their Dad and myself that education is the key to greatness. My husband suffers from a debilitating disease and we are living on his disability and my meager income. Because of the good grades my son earned by studying hard, being a good person and using the brain he has, his college education is being paid for by available scholarship and grant money. Greatness can be achieved but it has to be earned by working hard.

Count Tiger Woods Part of Crowd That Scoffs at Yankee Stadium Prices (Fanhouse MLB Blog)

Jul 6th 2009 9:23AM My family does not attend these ball parks. I think it is ridiculous that these ball players are making millions off the American people to play a a child's game...Baseball. I refuse to pay the stadium price. $410 dollars for the average family to attend the ball park....Geez, that's almost a weeks pay for me.
