Goodell Lets Vick Story Hijack '09 Season (Fanhouse - Jay Mariotti)

Jul 28th 2009 3:48AM An everyday "Joe" gets laid off his from his job. With no way to feed his family, he gets depressed, drunk, and in a fit of intoxicated despair, he uses a water pistol to commits armed robbery.

He is subsequently charged with and convicted of a felony. He gets 5 years in prison.

When this man gets out, he cannot return to his job because they do not hire people who have committed "violent crimes". His one-time lapse in judgment, his act of desperation born out of the need to feed his family, costs him for the rest of his life.

This is NOT Michael Vick. Vick didn't lose his job and then make a "momentary error in judgment". He had it all, but that wasn't enough. He decided that he would be the "Godfather" of an illegal interstate gambling operation.

In the process of running this criminal enterprise, he committed heinous acts of cruelty to many innocent animals, and he did it without remorse, without shame, without a shred of decency.

Now Lord Goodell sees this man is remorseful and is allowing him the opportunity to return to a career of wealth.

Mr. Vick is only remorseful that he was caught. People who make a one-time lapse in judgment to, let's say...feed their families....are remorseful.
Vick is a piece of garbage who does not deserve to be back in the league.

Mr. Goodell? For years, you worked so hard to maintain a high level of expectations for this league's players. You were tough, but you were consistent.

You blew all that in one stupid press conference. The NFL Commissioner's office now has about as much integrity as the WWE.....you are now a joke, a laughing stock, and you've embarrassed its players and spit in the face of its fans.

Italy Resolution Condemns Abortion for Population Control (Politics Daily)

Jul 24th 2009 3:35AM Or if women would keep their legs closed. Since women are the ones who have to bear this burden, common sense should pop into their heads sometime before the act is consummated and think "oops....I can get pregnant and that's going to be inconvenient".

It's really not a testament to the purported intelligence of American women. I mean seriously, if we are performing 1,000,000 abortions a year, then we have more than our fair share of women who are paralyzed from the neck up.....but unfortunately, not from the waist down.

Italy Resolution Condemns Abortion for Population Control (Politics Daily)

Jul 24th 2009 3:29AM Yup...we rail against immigrants and welfare queens breeding, but nowhere no how did we say "kill the kids". See, that's the biggest problem with the baby-killing sect.....the same flippin' hypocrites who protest the execution of convicted serial killers support the execution of innocents under the disgusting guise of "choice".

You people have absolutely no moral ground to stand on, so you step on the Constitution instead. You yank out the second amendment and scream "Our forefathers did not intend for every citizen to have a gun", yet somehow think they were okay with the first amendment being used to justify the wanton killing of 1,000,000 people a year.

Oh, just to reiterate.....it's STILL the privileged girls getting the abortions, because the welfare queens are still spitting them out like grape seeds at a summer picnic.

I won't compliment these queens on their sexual proclivities, but they sure stand head and shoulders above you on the moral pedestal because they would NEVER even think of having an abortion.

A-HA!!! That proves my theory that Michael and LaToya are the same person! He isn't dead....he was at the funeral wearing a black dress, sunglasses, and a big black hat! Seriously....have we ever seen these two together?

Watchdog Group Discovers U.S. Soldiers on Neo-Nazi Social Network (Switched)

Jul 14th 2009 10:09AM Hey, I would prefer that we leave these morons up there and let them do what they're doing publicly. They obviously aren't the brightest bulbs on the tree but I would much rather have them in the open where we can keep an eye on them.

Start making TOO big a stink about this and they'll scurry back into their holes and THAT'S when they become dangerous.

Jun 29th 2009 11:14AM What many people don't know is that Disney has that same type of discriminatory policy and I can't understand why no one has sued them on it as well. People who don't fit certain "appearance" guidelines are relegated to "backstage" jobs where their appearance won't "offend" the guests.

This basically means that people who were not blessed with attractive looks get stuck shoveling garbage, working 3rd shift custodial, or working kitchen jobs and don't have nearly the same opportunities as people who are considered "average" or "attractive".

I will say that they wouldn't stick someone behind stage for having a prosthetic arm though, especially not this girl because she is quite attractive.

Red Sox Nation Won't Last (Fanhouse MLB Blog)

Jun 29th 2009 10:21AM Sorry there Bubba.....the Red Sox have been a nationwide lovechild long before ESPN Chris Berman had his born-again head of hair. They are a beloved franchise throughout the country, have always been, and will always be.

Yankee fans such as the author are just in denial. More fans may show up at away games because more fans across the country HATE the Yankees and what they represent and love to come to the parks and BOO them. I don't understand why people don't get THAT.

Folks Too Obsessed With Michael Vick (Fanhouse NFL Blog)

Jun 16th 2009 7:01PM It's bizarre that the black fan base in Atlanta supports Vick as if he were the only black athlete to ever play in that city.

The FACT is that he is one of the most overrated players to ever play the game. So much potential, so little production. However, he is emblematic of what's wrong in the black community. No one cares if you are part of a team, as long as you're a showboat.

Vick was a HORRIBLE football player because it was always about him and never the team. The fans in Atlanta don't care, because he would run with the ball and say "look at me" instead of staying in the pocket and completing the play. God forbid he pass the ball and allow the receiver to get credit for a gain.....he had to hog the ball and try to win every game by himself.

Bulls Beat Celtics After 3 Overtimes (Fanhouse NBA Blog)

May 1st 2009 2:17AM "Regulation even had some crazy! Rajon Rondo and Kirk Hinrich got into a tussle. Tangled, Rondo seemed to jerk Hinrich's arm, which served to throw Captain Kirk into the scorer's table. Hinrich is business, and bum rushed Rondo."
