Jun 14th 2010 6:23PM I'm a retired Psychiatric Nurse that worked with many Bipolar
patients. I KNOW what they go through on the outside, only they, you
Carrie, know what it is like on the inside! Yet, from what BPD looks
like on the outside and the treatemnts and meds, I challenge anyone
to handle that AND 'Hollywood' as well. Just the thought is daunting
when you throw in all of the life she has went through as well.
So, I say, "Hell No!" Carrie isn't a mess; she is a survivor of a
very destructive disease that has left many in the morgue as a
suicide statistic. So give her a break!! To go through BPD and just
live would be enough for anybody and unless you have nursed people
with this disorder or as another health professional, treated this
very unkind disorder, you just DO NOT know what you are saying to
call this brave lady a mess!!

Now, for someone who gave my wife, my daughter, and me many days and
nights of enjoyment and entertainment. I say to you Carrie,
"Congradulations on your new show, and you go girl! I wish I knew you
personally enought to send my daughter's picture of her dressed up as
the 'Princess' because, since you too are a parent, it would do your
heart good and remind you of how much you have given to us ALL.

BTW, I'm a professional male RN, trained in and out of the military
before anyone supposes a biased opinion of another female! You do not
get to use that excuse either!

Best of luck and life to you Carrie! You've earned it!!!

Doctors: Using Cell Phone in Car as Bad as Drunk Driving (AOL Health)

Jun 13th 2010 9:00AM I FLEW A HUEY IN 'NAM AND USED A HEADSET FOR MY RADIO IN ADDITION TO
FLYING THE HUEY...AND WE NEVER CRASHED. THE FACT THAT I'M WRITING
THIS GIVE THAT PROOF! POLICE USE THEIR RADIOS EVERYDAY WHILE
DRIVING, DON'T DENY IT BECAUSE I COME FROM A FAMILY FULL OF POLICEMEN
AND WOMEN. THE MAJORITY OF THEM SAY THAT THE THINK HANDS FREE UNITS
ARE FINE. ALL ALSO AGREE IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER THAT TEXT OR NON HANDS
FREE SHOULD BE SEVERELY PROSECUTED.
I SAY A HANDS FREE SET OR NOTHING. WHEN I DON'T HAVE OR FORGET MY
HANDS FREE, I TURN OFF THE PHONE TILL I GET WHERE I'M GOING. BTW, I'M
64 AND NEVER HAD AN ACCIDENT THAT WAYS MY FAULT.
ALSO, I AGREE THOUGH THAT IF YOU ARE TEXTING OR NOT USING A HANDS
FREE DEVICE, YOU SHOULD HAVE SOME KIND OF STIFF FINE, THE DUI/DWI
EQUIVALENT CHARGE SOUNDS FINE IF NO ACCIDENT IS INVOLVED. BUT
SOMETHING STIFFER IS INDICATED IF ONE CAUSES AN ACCIDENT.

PULLED RIGHT OUT IN FRONT OF ME BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT HAVE SEEN ME
BECAUSE OF THE 'ELBOW, HAND, AND PHONE IN HER LIINE OF SITE. AFTER I
PARKED, I RAN INTO THIS WOMAN IN THE LOBBY, NO PUN IMPLIED, AND SHE
SAID, 'HOW DO YOU STAND THAT LITTLE 'EAR BUD' IN YOUR EAR, I JUST
CAN'T PICTURE ME USING ONE!" I SAID AS POLITELY AS POSSIBLE,'MAME YOU
DIDN'T EVEN SEE ME A LITTLE WHILE AGO WHEN YOU PULLED DIRECTLY OUT IN
FRONT OF ME; ISN'T A LITTLE DISCOMFORT--WHICH GOES AWAY IN TIME WHEN
YOU'RE USED TO WEARING IT--WORTH NOT KILLING SOMEONE. "I'LL DO IT MY
WAY IF YOU DON'T MIND, HONEY" SHE SNAPPED...LATER THIS WEEK SHE DID.
SHE HIT SOMEONE 'T-BONE' STYLE!! WONDER HOW SHE FEELS NOW THAT I'M
NURSING HER 'VICTIM' WHO WAS IN CRITICAL CONDITION FOR AWHILE?
FOR ME IT'S MY BLUE TOOTH HEAD SET-MY SET EVEN DIALS THE NUMBER BY
VOICE COMMAND- OR I DO NOT ANSWER OR CALL WHILE DRIVING.

Moviefone Minute: 'Karate Kid' Red Carpet (Moviefone Blog)

Why isn't the new movie called the "The Kung Fu Kid"? Jakie Chan is
teaching his 'coming of age kid' Kung Fu and NOT Karate. The
Techniques and focus are different. Has no one noticed?
As a simple traditional Karate Instructor I have to say that it isn't

just semantics if you instruct traditional Karate, and I would think
it would be the same for a dedicated Kung Fu Sifu as well!
As always its HOLLYWOOD riding AGAIN! They never get it, they just go

for the sensationalism!
I MIGHT watch this one on DVD at home but Definitely not in a theatre

where any of my students might see me and assume that I approve of
the title! Yet, it WILL make for some
interesting talks after class at our dojo.

May 16th 2010 4:00AM How many women have lied to men about being one a pill, etc.? How many times after that has the male in question been hit with,"Guess what? I'm pregnant!"
A male pill will end this little 'lie' for good and all.
An earlier writer was correct. While I will be the first to admit that not all men are truthful in these and many matters, we do NOT have the untruthful department cornered...and any honest person should own up to both of these points!
Enough said.

Army to Court Martial Officer Who Doubts Obama Was Born in U.S. (Politics Daily)

Apr 15th 2010 9:56AM As an Army Major who is about to retire after a career spanning more presidents than I care to count, I have to say that I liked some and I didn't like some presidents. HOWEVER, If you are an officer, no matter what branch, you follow all orders, or you get what you deserve...Conduct Unbecoming an Officer.
