The Ultimate Mistake Men Make With Women (Personal Articles)

Aug 30th 2009 10:18PM age would certainly help in this category. I think the mistake men make (from my experience) is not knowing how to show a genuine interest in the woman~~ that is what is attractive to a woman worth attracting! Who are you trying to attract and for what reason?? lots of variables here, for us over 50 group, men are more concerned with finding someone younger, and I have met such rude men talking about past dates or women who are hot right in front of me. sorry, at that moment, no matter how much you had going for you, you just lost my attention and I don't care how much money men say they have, many of them lie to lure women.
the dating sites are full of these men. I say be yourself, genuine, be polite and don't tell us everything about you~ take an interest in us and listen and ask relevant questions. Nothing more irritating than the men who won't stop talking.

Cosmo Names Apple Stores Best Places to Meet Single Men (Switched)

Mar 3rd 2008 6:26PM after turning 50, finding a good man becomes even harder. the men in that group are too busy trying to charm the 20-30 somethings who only want their money. the bars are a waste of time, bookstores can feel like the man is stalking you, apple stores??
there has to be an easier way or are all the good guys gone??

Teacher Caught Verbally Abusing Kids (AOL Video Blog)

Mar 2nd 2008 6:23PM I have mixed feelings about this story. I am a pre-k teacher in a private school with 20 children in my classroom. I have an assistant also. These children are 3 and 4 and come from middle/upper middle class families.
I understand her frustration but wonder where her administrators are, does she have an assistant? A teacher should NEVER allow herself to cross that breaking point, to call them stupid is completely unacceptable.
She should call for help, take a break, ask for some interventions for her classroom. Administrators, assistants need to support the teachers by getting involved and touring the rooms. Our school has classroom monitors and we have phones with direct access to the front office.

On the other hand, the parent in the video says she sees behavior in her 4 year old that she doesn't see at home. That is not necessarily a red flag for the child's teacher. Those 19 other children aren't in your home. The parents need to understand that there are 19 or 20 more children in the classroom. Yes, your child is going to mimic some of the behavior she sees. A teacher cannot change a child's behavior, but the classroom atmosphere can certainly influence a child's behavior. This teacher should not be allowed to be reassigned, she should be on suspension while investigation is taking place. I'm interested in the recording devise being brought into a pre-k room without authorization from an administrator. Before everyone here is so quick to criticize, it is a growing problem and the reason I left the public schools. Parents need to be more involved with supporting their child's teachers in whatever capacity they can.

Ann Coulter Does It Again, If By "It" I Mean Acts Like An Idiot (News Bloggers)

Oct 14th 2007 5:31PM Idiot would be the perfect word to describe Ann and her sort, it comes from the Greek word, "idios" which means "pertaining to one's self, ones own."
she is full of herself. the comment referring to retarded people here would not include her. retarded people are not "idiots."
As for all the right wingers bashing the liberals here, what is "godly" about your mouth??
practice what you preach darling.

Ann Coulter Does It Again, If By "It" I Mean Acts Like An Idiot (News Bloggers)

Oct 14th 2007 5:10PM Ann is one of those people that you can't believe she is really human. my dog is smarter than she is, probably smarter than many humans! I can't fathom that she wakes up each morning and looks at herself in the mirror and believes she is even for one moment a godly woman. please, no one should take her seriously. God is God, not ann coulter (even though she thinks she is.)

Sunday Real Estate Round-Up (Luxist)

Sep 28th 2006 6:06PM It's pathetic when people judge others because of how much money they spend for a home.. or where their home is or what kind of home it may be... we all know it does not matter how much money one may or may not have to achieve happiness in their personal lives... the NYorker that posted seems to live up to the huge egos that live in Manhattan... think of all the worthy causes that money could be spend on here in the US...

Ultra-thin models banned from Madrid fashion show (ParentDish)

Sep 14th 2006 2:03PM It sends a message and I applaud the Spanish government for being involved. I think what some people may not realize is that there is generally one size made for the runway so the runway models are usually very thin. It speaks to the fashion designers and the models. There is rampant drug use in the fashion industry to keep the models rail thin and they have big bucks to get caught up in the drug culture.
Any mother of young girls/teenagers should do everything they can in a positive, supportive manner to keep their girls healthy. Unfortunately the media is to blame, both print and visual. These young girls idolize Paris, Nicole, the skinny celebrities that are on every magazine cover. Bring back the beautiful models of the 70's and 80's who were healthy and gorgeous!

The Pink Palace, Estate of the Day (Luxist)

Aug 13th 2006 9:35AM the home looks gorgeous on the inside, not crazy about the pink but living in Florida myself, I'm sure the homeowners insurance alone is more than some people make in an annual income. to say that the people living there are not loving is ridiculous, why are americans so prejudiced and judgmental? don't let the hurricanes scare you from living here, the lifestyle is wonderful if you can afford the skyrocketing insurance which is out of control.

Prude Paris Bans Boobs (Gadling)

Aug 7th 2006 6:15PM having spent time in Paris a few years ago at this time of year, I'm sure it is the American tourist influence. the French will always find a place to bare it all, it's the Americans that are prudish.
if we even bare cleavage to look like the beautiful women we are, Americans have a fit.
