Jun 12th 2009 11:04PM Although I am a liberal, I agree kids should see such movies. My son has grown up on our farm and has witnessed the deaths of animals since he was 4 years old. At 17, he exhibits no adverse effects from these events. All living things die. That is life. To try to shield kids from this fact does more harm than good. No wonder our culture is so obsessed with "turning back the clock."

May 30th 2009 4:32PM I agree completely Papajack. I own 3 horses. You never know what is going to spook them, especially in unfamiliar settings. She is putting the lives of others at risk unnecessarily. There are service dogs and even miniature horses for such work.

All I can add to your comment is a great big "Amen". I totally agree with everything you said. I have had one friend die from lung cancer. I have had 5 killed by drunk drivers.
