'Genderless' Baby Raises a Storm of Controversy (ParentDish)
May 26th 2011 11:29PM Take a breath folks. It is not the outward equipment that always determines the sex of a person. Case in point: Recent news headlines of Chaz (Chastity) Bono, who had gender change surgery to match his outside with his inside. I hope in some golden androgynous future we will no longer be obsessed with sex and force people into roles they were not meant to play, but rather appreciate them for who they are, not what they are.
Ben & Jerry's "Flavor Guru" (Slashfood)
May 2nd 2010 2:16PM I worked for 3 years in a franchise company ice cream store as a trainer. It has taken me fifteen years after I left before I could even think about eating ice cream.
School Bans Pro-Life T-Shirt - Seventh Grader Sues (ParentDish)
Jul 8th 2009 11:44PM This is a religious issue, and our constitution says to separate church and state. Unless this is a religious school, the statement does not belong in a state supported school. Besides, it is a volatile issue that distracts from the learning the school is mandated to make. I would have taken the child to the washroom and asked her to turn the shirt inside out.
'Idol' Runs Long, DVRs Cut Off Adam Lambert's 'Mad World.' Cue Outrage (AOL TV: American Idol)
Apr 8th 2009 2:30PM This happens frequently on Sunday shows--Amazing Race; Big Brother, when some stupid sports thing runs overtime, then they have to air the WHOLE 60 minutes. There have been times when AR is as much as 40 minutes late. So when I set my DVR, I include the show that follows it, also. But in a program like this you don't know ahead of time. Thanks for the link. CBS may get so much flak that they put it on their website. Or YouTube.
And the 'American Idol' Wildcards Are ... (AOL TV: American Idol)
Mar 5th 2009 1:59PM Tatiana???????What were they thinking?????????? I certainly hope that "Vote for the Worst" doesn't make her this season's example to keep her on forever. If they don't I'd guess an early elimination. I'll still watch, but Tivo it so I can bypass any of her tantrums.
Breastfeeding - How Long is Too Long? (ParentDish)
Feb 28th 2009 11:19PM I have no argument with the fact that breast milk is best for an infant. But why does no one ever talk of breast pumps? Infants will get the same nutrients and immunity from a bottle of breast milk. And, as a former teacher, how would I explain to a class of second graders that so and so had to go home at lunch to suck on his/her mother's tits? Or is mama going to school to suckle under the gaze of the other kids? I find this whole topic absurd.
10 Part-Time Jobs You Can Do From Home (AOL Jobs)

I think Bush done a pretty good job. We are better off now than we've ever been. He has kept us safe. God bless America, my B-9 mole and my bald head.

I guess you don't count the thousands of US military or innocent Iraquis killed or the present state of the economy. Not easy to take a budget surplus and turn it into trillions of dollars of debt. So, why are you looking for a job?
10 Vital Resume Fixes (AOL Jobs)
Feb 4th 2009 7:17PM To PDX:
"If the author had done their research, they would be telling. . .")When I studied English back in the dark ages, a singular subject required singular adjectives, verbs, etc. This should read "If the authors; or Had done his/her research". This drives me as crazy as using I as the object of a preposition. "He gave it to my wife and I". I have credentials if anybody needs a proof reader.
The Most Irritating Phrases in the English Language (Lemondrop)
Nov 13th 2008 2:18PM I agree with "awesome". Even more irritating: "Amazing" and the misquoted phrase "the proof is in the pudding" which makes no sense, and should read "the proof of the pudding is in the eating".
Obama is a bad word at some Mississippi schools (ParentDish)
Nov 9th 2008 6:59PM Didn't anybody ever tell you that writing in all caps (capital letters) is a no-no on the internet? It is difficult to read and people consider it rude and shouting at them. There is a key on your keyboard called "caps lock". That's the way to turn them off.
And what on earth could Obama do that is worse than stealing an election, turning a budget surplus into the economic mess we're in today, or sending 4,000 Americans to their death, based on a lie? Before you display your ignorance again, I suggest that you read his books and his web site. It would also be helpful if you learned to write in English.
