Potent Quotables: The Gossip's Beth Ditto (Spinner)

Aug 17th 2007 8:55PM You know... It's sad when people have to make comments like everyone's made on here. Just because Beth says something about Britney doesn't mean she needs to be ridiculed herself. I might sound like my grandmother here but, if you've got nothing nice to say don't say anything at all and two wrongs don't make a right. Yeah, Beth was in the wrong for saying what she did because she is no better nor popular than Brit but people don't need to bash on her for her opinion. Come on, grow up a little.

FCC to Let You Use Your Cell Phone with Any Carrier (Switched)

Aug 1st 2007 10:40AM I really don't know if I like this idea too much. By being able to use any network the currents providers might just merge into one big company then the people paying for Alltel's My Circle might get ticked off when they possibly no longer have it or Sprint's might be getting more than usual if it stays. I think I would rather be locked into a two year contract mainly because I like my service provider and am kind of stingy so uhm... I GOT MY CIRCLE AND YOUUUU DON'T!... Unless you have Alltel of course... then it's free for me to call you anyways.

The rise of Robin Hood restaurants (Slashfood)

Jan 1st 2007 5:20PM I think this is really cool. I mean come on, for one I'm a college student and it is kinda hard to find meals that truly fit into my budget that don't cause me to lose fit around the waste. Yeah, the dollar menu's rock if you're short on cash but they're so much worse than the salad that costs a few dollars more than what you have. Taking from the rich and giving to the poor... I like that... Even if a few dishes have to be washed in order for me to get that salad.

Gaultier puts plus-size model on the catwalk (Stylelist)

Oct 6th 2006 11:54PM Okay guys... I'm 18 and plus size but ya know what... Who cares? I've got plenty of guys after me and if I wanted to I could be a model... You think it's gross? Women to look down upon other women for being bigger than them is a travesty! I mean I've always been looked down upon because I'm bigger but guys love me because I'm down to earth and refuse to just be a one night stand (has driven some away but they aren't for me). In fact, I'm an 18 yr old college virgin who refuses to let others degrade me because I am plus size... Being fat isn't a sin and shouldn't be looked at one as such but rather bigger girls need love too ya know... And for those shallow enough to call me fat.. .They've been given a "go to hell" look and corrected with me saying "Babydoll... I'm not fat... I'm voluptuous... GET IT RIGHT!"... For us bigger girls... As Monique says in Phat Gurlz... Eff Skinny Bitches....

Would you light your kid's cigarette? (ParentDish)

Aug 6th 2006 11:55PM Right now I'm 18 and I've never lit up a cigarette mainly because I get headaches from them and it just isn't pretty. Honestly, I'm going to straddle the fence on this issue. Yeah, it's bad she's lighting the cigarette for her daughter but my great-grandparents bought my uncle a bottle of whiskey and he's never touched it since... Reverse psychology perhaps? But on the other side it's the moms choice and not ours... If the daughter's going to smoke she's going to smoke one way or the other and the mom has the right to choose whether or not to contribute to her habit... Some parents are different but we can't exactly say whether one parent is good and one's bad. My mom was scorned her entire life for giving me up to my grandparents but I turned out fine and dandy thanks to her decision.

Survey finds half of UK motorists want elderly drivers banned (Autoblog)

Aug 2nd 2006 3:13PM You know... I totaled my truck June 13th so in a way I agree with GrowUp on the teen issue... But back to elderly people... They shouldn't be banned... Maybe they should make a lane just for them to drive in? Like the HOV lanes in big cities? Or the bike rider lanes? Think that might help?
