Mar 18th 2009 3:13PM Shea, right, We TRIED to give our unpurchased food to a shelter, when we almost got sued by someone who claimed that they got ill off of some of it only because they didn't get what they wanted!!!
After having been given the food for nearly a YEAR!!! After that, it ALL proudly went to our dogs or into the trash. Here we are, struggling to make the small business work, just barely making ends meet, nearly unable to pay our mortgage after having taken out a home equity loan to buy the business and some homeless person wil make up a story because he didn't get what he wanted rather than being grateful for getting something (for nothing) at all.
THAT is the reason that businesses have to "protect themselves", because we live in an environment where the only way for some people to make something of themselves is to take what others work hard to accomplish. The business, by the way, was shut down by the local government for failure to pay taxes, but at least we didn't lose the house.
