Feb 17th 2010 5:41PM I'm a General Contractor with years of experiance. A sheet of 3/4" plywood and some yellow caution tape would have gone a long way - 20/20 hindsight. This is why reputable contractors carry liability insurance. Regardless of how well the interior designer knew the layout of the house, you have to take precautionary measures. The contractor of record for this project should assume all liablity, none of this is ANDERSON COOPERS FAULT - not that I like liberal, left wing media moguls, or would watch his show - it is the sole responsibility of then professional that was hired to practice proper building and SAFETY techniques. Call your insurer and pay your deductible bub, call it continuing education credits.
