Man Tags Own Home With Expletive, and Enrages Neighbors (AOL Real Estate)

Mar 28th 2012 7:19PM I guess you missed the fact that this has also occurred in California and Colorado. Stop being such a bigot.

California woman arrested in nail-painting incident on Southwest flight (Gadling)

Mar 8th 2012 11:33PM I think this was a misunderstanding. Yes, the lady was rude to start painting her nails because she didn't realized that not only was it a hazard but the smell is much worse in an enclosed space. The flight attendant most likely politely asked her to stop without explaining the real danger of it. Thinking it was bothering others, she took it to the lavatory, not fully comprehending it was against regulations to have open containers of flammable materials on an aircraft. I've had some very rude flight attendants trying to instigate verbal fights with me when I did nothing wrong so I wouldn't have put it past the flight attendant to feel that she or he was just being ignored when he or she didn't properly explain the dangers to the passenger in the first place.

Texas Family Wins Fight Against HOA to Keep Pet Kangaroo (AOL Real Estate)

Mar 5th 2012 9:23PM The ignorance in this blog about keeping exotic animals is astounding and disgusting. You guys should try educating yourself on a subject before taking a position on it. The majority of mammalian exotics are captive bred. They have never been in the wild nor should they ever be. These animals CAN bond and WILL bond with their human owners. Constantly displacing them to put in overfilled, neglectful sanctuaries only does a disservice to an animal that has been raised with human contact and bonds. If a person can keep an animal safely (and there is ALWAYS safety protocol in place with responsible owners) it is their right to do so and none of your business. Only the idiots make the news and you people need to realize that. Dogs and horses kill 200 people every two years. Exotics (as a whole) kill 0.4!!! Now you tell me which is more dangerous. If you want to call PETA, you can find them fraudulently taking donations for animals they don't even care for, filing frivolous litigation instead of actually helping abused animals, and putting down the animals in their care. Read their goal. They want dogs and cats EXTINCT. They don't want you to have pets. PERIOD. If you want to support animals, support groups that focus on animal WELFARE, not animal RIGHTS.

Family Faces Eviction Over Toddler's Noise (AOL Real Estate)

Feb 1st 2012 6:19PM Sorry but comparing this situation to those like the child with cerebral palsy is ridiculous. The toddler may be behaving like a "normal" toddler but that does not mean you can use that as an excuse to be as loud as you want if you are renting a home on property you share with others. You have an added responsibility to respect your neighbors and if you are receiving repeated noise complaints, then you are not being responsible. Living in an apartment, I had things falling off my walls and antiques falling off shelves and shattering because of the toddler upstairs being uncontrollable, jumping off furniture and pounding on the floor/my ceiling. It felt like a bowling ball was being repeatedly slammed into my ceiling. My walls literally shook. Now, I understand she is a toddler and some noise is understandable but when it gets to be so bad that you receive repeat complaints, you need to find a home elsewhere that will better aid you in muffling your child's noise if you think she's just behaving normally.

Are They Latino? Take Our Quiz! (Celebra)

Sep 15th 2011 7:16PM I'm also wondering what the heck some of you are talking about when you say they are "trying to look white". Exactly how do you do this? As far as I know, these people aren't bleaching their skin. They are just white because they were born that way. There are white and brown Italians, there are white and brown Hispanics, and there are white and brown Mexicans. If you mean they are trying to identify with white people, then I also counter with these people are American. Most light skinned Americans identify with light skinned Americans regardless of ethnicity. I'm Italian and I have light skin though my entire family is brown yet I identify strongly with other Italians and Mexicans (who, where I live, are mostly brown). Does that mean I'm "trying to look brown"???

Are They Latino? Take Our Quiz! (Celebra)

Sep 15th 2011 7:12PM What are they talking about? Italians ARE Latino! It's only the US Census Bureau that has determined that, for some reason, Italians aren't considered Latino.

Jul 9th 2011 1:02AM Actually Sarah is correct. It IS unhealthy to sleep on your back when pregnant for a number of reasons (probably most importantly decreases circulation to your heart and baby). You should be sleeping on your side. There is absolutely no need to be rude to her. Sounds like some of you mothers need to listen better to your ob-gyn.

Delta Air Lines charges returning soldiers for checked bags (Gadling)

Jun 8th 2011 2:49AM My fiance had over 3 bags of issued gear he was required to return with alone plus his own personal belongings. It would take at least a month to be able to get any gear plus a huge cost if they mailed it back. Delta is crooked.
