Tasteful or Tacky? Asking Bridal Shower Guests to Address Thank-You Notes (Aisledash)

Oct 15th 2010 3:00PM Block writing? Was the person in or was in the military? All military personnel are taught to write everything in block writing...just saying...old habits die hard.

Tasteful or Tacky? Asking Bridal Shower Guests to Address Thank-You Notes (Aisledash)

Oct 15th 2010 2:53PM Yep, the last wedding I attended also asked us to fill out the "thank you" envelope...I WONDERED what the hell that was for...until I received the thank you card in the mail...with the envelope in my own handwriting. LOL Have to say, though, it does save the bride a lot of time. lol

What's Inside 5-Hour Energy Shots (Asylum)

Jun 12th 2010 8:35PM FYI...TAURINE is a necessary nutrient in CAT FOOD. LOL Please do NOT give this drink stuff to your cat, though...don't want him dying.

Verna Oller, little old lady and secret stock picker, leaves small town $4.5 million (WalletPop)

Jun 12th 2010 11:26AM I think this article should NOT call her a "cheapskate" (call her frugal) first of all!!! This woman obviously had a heart of GOLD to do such a thing like leaving MILLIONS to a town for ITS children. She obviously had to go through the DEPRESSION when she was a kid, herself, so she knew what it meant to totally do without (think basics here, people...food, clothing, shelter...forget about store-bought toys). This woman was very SMART, all the way around...and generous to a fault. God bless her, and may God give her a wonderful, peaceful, pain-free life in Heaven.

Also, everyone reading this should start doing the SAME as her...start being FRUGAL, people, because soon the sh** will hit the fan once again if the politicians keep up what they're doing for one more day instead of reversing gears.

12 Health Myths Your Doctor Believes (AOL Health)

Jun 8th 2010 1:40AM But the article said...teething will cause a HIGH fever...which is FALSE. Yes, it does sometimes cause a fever, just not a high one. A high fever is definitely not good, and the child should be taken to a doctor/ER if that happens.

Princess Cruises Cancels Israel Visit (AOL Travel News)

Jun 3rd 2010 4:36PM All you libs on here, go back to watching your news...John Stewart is on. LOL (FYI...that's NOT real news and all the other stations besides FOX are nothing more than Obama's propaganda machines).

GE coffee maker recall at Walmart: Can start fires (WalletPop)

May 20th 2010 10:46AM I have this coffee maker. I should've known something was up...the heating plate is extremely discolored (probably what starts the fire). It is, otherwise, a good coffee maker, in my opinion...but definitely NOT worth starting a fire, though. I just took a look at the bottom of the machine..."Wal Mart" logo is on it for sure, and it IS made in China! :( The problem is that they make all these things with the MINIMUM of material nowadays and so CHEAP is right! I sure hope I can find a DECENT one to replace it...that's gonna be hard.

What It's Really Like to Be 40 -- By a Formerly Hot 20-something (Lemondrop)

May 17th 2010 1:10PM We don't like to be called "Ma'am" because it is something that the younger generation calls those who are adults and so obviously "older" than themselves (reminds us we're getting up there!). That said, I also know plenty of men in their 40's who hate being called "Sir" as well. Try calling a woman "Ms" or "Miss" from time to time and WATCH their reaction (I'm sure it will be POSITIVE)!!

Ask the AKC Animal Behaviorist - My Cat Won't Stop Howling at Night (Pawnation OLD)

May 15th 2010 6:20PM rjk, that was nothing but MEAN of you. You've obviously never had an attachment to a cat. Believe what you will, but cats can be extremely affectionate! Everyone who's ever come across my cat has fallen in love with him (or at least a strong LIKE) even if they thought they hated cats before. Like humans, every cat has a different personality...and you don't have to walk him outside 3-4 times a day!

Ask the AKC Animal Behaviorist - My Cat Won't Stop Howling at Night (Pawnation OLD)

May 15th 2010 6:17PM I see that many of you are suggesting that this owner "leave a bowl of food out" or "get a self-feeding bowl." Here's the problem with those suggestions...her cat wants WET food in the middle of the night, and she already has dry food out for him. Cats can and DO get spoiled fast and are smart enough to take advantage of their master's kindness. I know wherefore I speak as my cat is a pain in the butt himself. lol Water guns never worked for me. After a few squirts, he just started taking the water like he was in a shower (no effect on him whatsoever)! lol Best thing to do...buy a QUIET dog next time. lol
