Oct 25th 2011 5:06PM As another 70 y.o. I agree. Some clever people are going to make a lot of money removing tattoos from the stupids of the current era when they get older and realize what trailer trash they made of themselves. The most telling tattoos are on their backs, butts, and necks...clearly not for THEIR viewing pleasure at all. bunch of narcissistic brats. There will be hope for them all when they finally get hungry and no one feeds them.

Should Bosses Crack Down on Office Romances? (AOL Small Business)

Aug 3rd 2011 8:20PM Interesting how your CEOs are ALL young, immature kids with very small and new companies that do not have heavy capital investment and blue collar operations...mostly office, service, and IT staff ..... means NOTHING.

Number of Small Businesses Sold Increases, Sales Price Decreases (AOL Small Business)

Jul 19th 2011 3:12PM Ed...these are SERVICE businesses, small ones...not what is being OUTSOURCED due to wages...the biggest problem THEY have is unknown costs of benefits (OBAMACARE) to employees and inflation, as well as threat of another recession....Wages in dollars are NOT the issue mainly in SERVICE businesses like the article describes...only for large call centers, etc with large volumes.....the USA lost manufacturing a long time ago due to Union demands for wages and benefits, and excessive US taxation and regulations.

Survey Says: Want Less Facebook, More Face Time? You're Not Alone (AOL Small Business)

May 21st 2011 8:28AM when your competition utilized the internet for all its contacts (cheaper and impersonal), the business that makes serious significant personal face to face contacts with highly competent salesforces will win every time. The issue will be what kind of products or services are being sold, their cost magnitude, the decision cycle and chain of purchasing approvals in the buying decisions. You can sell cheap junk via infomercials, you cannot sell capital goods via electronic media.

150th Anniversary of Civil War: Celebration of Black Bravery (BV Black Spin)

Apr 16th 2011 6:46PM Your knowledge of real history is quite bad, but it is easy to see that your view is built on a need to assign guilt to white people in general, to answer for the failures of US African Americans today to achieve the success readily available to those that do the work and do not carry hatred and resentment into the marketplace.

150th Anniversary of Civil War: Celebration of Black Bravery (BV Black Spin)

Apr 16th 2011 6:42PM African Americans in the North did not want to join the Union Army. Lincoln offered freedom to any slave that joined the army, but they felt they might also be killing their family members in the South...then the North tried to Conscript (draft) them and met with riots. A few joined because there were no money paying jobs for them in the North, as the Irish and European immigrants did not want the African Americans to be freed and come North to take away their low skilled labor jobs, working for cheaper rates...so many that joined the Union Army did so to free them in the South so they would not keep escaping North and take away jobs...the same reason that the freed slaves were given farm land and a mule...to keep them in agriculture in the South rather than see them all come North for non-agriculture jobs....already filled by organized Irish and Europeans.

Consider if the South HAD won the war....and then the inevitable machinery replacement of human labor in harvesting and planting crops made the African American slaves OBSOLETE....why would anyone keep them as slaves...they would have been sold into the South American slave market...and today, they would be poor, uneducated, broke, and peasant workers without any social programs at all...or else they would have been deported back to Africa, where they would be killed by other tribes as is happening today.

History is history. Many people in America came to America escaping terrible lives, and worked hard to make lives for their future generations...even working as legal slaves (indentured servants)..many of their kids worked 16 hour days in dangerous toxic Northern factories for the family to make enough money to feed everyone...no plantation owner feeding, clothing, or housing them at all. Yes, life was hard, life was tough, life was sometimes cruel.

No one living today in the USA was ever a slave, nor a slave owner. Be as angry as you like, but it merely traps you in the confines of small minded resentments...and works against your ability to move ahead personally.
