May 21st 2012 7:33PM Soon as the cops leave they'll just start back up again. All one can do is move. I hope to one day, only next time I'm buying more land on a short private street. Those basketball goals people set up in the street are an attractive nuisance; we have drugs dealers hanging out there, underage drinking, cars blocking the street. Call the cops and as soon as they're gone the pole goes back up again. I thought thru roads were for cars and playgrounds were for shooting hoops but not if you live on Burbank Street in Columbus, GA! Now, I totally understand why some people spend more to live in neighborhoods with a homeowners' association. The rules may be tight but at least it's quiet there!

Jun 29th 2011 5:12AM I missed the part of the story that states she testified in Court that her daughter is on a diet of " cheating " and " non-cheating " days! But I wonder if that isn't just a rumor and not sworn testimony. What I did NOT miss is Mr. Aubrey didn't show up in Court. Maybe it's the way California does things but I know for a fact that in S. Carolina, Georgia and Florida if there is a child custody hearing and one parent fails to appear, full custody is granted to the parent who DOES appear! Since he is such a great Dad, one would think he'd appear at any hearing during which the other parent is requesting full custody, espcially against a Mother who seems to be known as unstable.

Most people call girls like that-STRIPPERS! ( Even strippers occasionally lie about their jobs!) And if she is so wonderful that she is simply aiding an aged man in his last years with her caring friendship then why not go find a truly deserving elderly who does NOT live in a mansion!? She's arm candy,baby! A paid trophy! She is selling herself-meaning she is a " girl for sale " and you can defend THAT all you want but we all know what it means! Congradualtions on having such an inspriation on that Family Tree of yours!

May 29th 2011 7:20PM That entry fee enables the park to keep up conservation of natural beauty ( Smokey Mountains and more ), it also pays for insurance in case some silly person decides to get hurt and sue but most of all it goes to pay the salaries of the people in that area who work there so they can have a reason to get up in the morning, eat, pay bills, and taxes and enjoy the feeling of being productive citizens while meeting people from all over the world and seeing them smile as they enjoy themselves in a safe and friendly atmosphere. AND of course generous donations go out to the good people of Appalachia and beyond! So, BILL, and other nay-sayers , what have YOU done for humanity lately? Any one can opine but let the moth out of your wallet and do something for someone else before you condemn Miss Dolly for helping others please, Sir! Ya'll be safe this Memorial Day weekend!

WHERE do you get off saying nasty and ugly things about folks you don't even know? And how DARE you deem to see yourself fit to judge whom should get a hospital bed? YOU don't know the thoughts that are in her mind any more than I do! Perhaps she's hanging on to see Prince fail, perhaps she is getting in just enough time to make amends with her Maker. Why do you hate her so? WHAT did a 94 year old woman who is holding on to life EVER do to offend YOU? She is a little old lady; no threat to you and your future so why use her as an excuse to gain attention to yourself ( albeit in a bad and nasty way )? Pick on ME if you feel the need to be nasty but leave this lady alone, ok? She has not only PAID for her hospital bed and space but has BUILT hospitals-what have you done for the world lately? Yeah, I thought so!

May 8th 2011 7:10PM re-varnished, sturdy, country craftmanship verses the look of that tiny counter space in your physician's treatment room where he washes his hands after speaking to you? Give me the homey, country feel any day! The kitchen is the heart of the home; people celebrate in it, pay bills at the table, duck as babies throw food at them from the high chair! We check homework there, we teach our recipes to future generations! It's The Kitchen-the hub of every family and frankly I wouldn't feel real familiar in such a stark environment as the after photo. I like wood, deep wood with lots of country charm accents on the walls and even some cabinetry with glass windows. Anything else is as sterile as a hospital lab!
