Apr 22nd 2011 2:06PM In Europe all electrical outlets have an "on and off" switch which allows one to cut the power to any outlet when not in use. Not only does it save money on the household butget, it is also a safety factor during thunderstorms. I lived in the UK 30 years ago and they were standard in every home even that long ago.

Jan 21st 2011 11:01PM Mrs. Obama is trying to do an honorable thing for the children of this country. It isn't HER the objections are aimed at, it's that slovenly Wal-Mart. The food they carry on their shelves are anything but healthy. I see in the picture that the store she was in went all out and cleaned up the produce shelves. She should make random visits unannounced to other Wally World's and see what the day to day customers are faced with, fifth, high prices for the healthy foods and a lot of junk from China that lasts about as long as it takes to get it home - usually clothes. Like I said, the only thing worth buying at Wal-Mart is pet food and it isn't worth the trip for just that.

Jan 21st 2011 10:55PM I won't buy fresh produce or meat from Wal-Mart. The only produce that appears fresh is on the top, everything on the bottom is rotting and crawling with fruit flies and the stench hits you in the face the moment you walk in the door. The pre-packaged produce is so expensive I'm saving money by going elsewhere. As for the meat, I'd like to be able to recognise what's in the package. That too is expensive. All the cheap food at Wal-Mart is in the pet section.

Watching the video of her complaining, one has to wonder if she persisted in interrupting him while he was trying to talk. Rude, rude, rude. Now she'll try to get even richer by suing Cunard, but the whole story will come out in court. Maybe they should just refund the entire $20,000 and eliminate one reason for a lawsuit and just get rid of her and her big mouth. She's a bad reflection on my Jewish grandmother.

Oct 7th 2010 12:14PM Why should the owner of the company being Jewish be a reason for this old rich bat to get away with disrupting other passengers who paid as much as she did to enjoy their cruise? She may be 85 years old and only 90 pounds, but she sounds like a bully using the horror of history to justify her bad manners. Money doesn't buy stupidity. Cruise lines aren't going to throw any passenger off unjustifiably. You can bet they investigated this incident and the old girl was outed by more than a few witnesses.
