Is Your Agent Working For or Against You? (Housingwatch)
Mar 12th 2010 1:53PM Commission rates are by mutual agreement between the agent and the client. There is no set rate or "norm". You don't have the slightest idea of what you're talking about and how many laws agents have to know. This article is insulting. 95% of agents are hardworking, fair and honest and many who aren't will lose their licenses at some point. If you get screwed on a transaction by an unscrupulous agent then it's your fault for not practicing due diligence. And agents are not babysitters for ignorant people.
Joshua Duggar Wants a Big Family (ParentDish)
Jan 12th 2009 8:02PM I agree with Ken. This planet is so overpopulated as it is. God has nothing to do with it. Very few people can make the kind of money to support a gaggle of kids! It costs over $100K to raise a child to 18, then put them through 4 years of college is another $100K+. And how can you be spread so thin? Someone is bound to feel neglected at some point. Sorry, I think 3 or 4 is more than plenty. I have none, so someone is welcome to have my 2.5!
Study Suggests Cell Phones May Lead to Heart Disease, Kidney Trouble (Switched)
Dec 29th 2008 4:45PM I find it fascinating so many people see cell phones as a health risk yet I encounter people YAKKING on them all the time! While driving, in dressing rooms at stores, in the freaking public bathrooms! If you all are so afraid of cells then HANG UP already! What in your life is so dang important you have to have a phone glued to your ear 24/7? I wish they were banned nationwide while driving, period.
Stroller Babies Should Face Parents (ParentDish)
Nov 21st 2008 2:23PM Not "alarming" and probably not true, either! Geez, can we quit with all these "scientific studies" already? We've been birthin' babies for thousands of years and most of us turned out just fine without the benefit of studies, technologies, etc.!
Two Qantas jets collide, but were not carrying passengers (Gadling)
Nov 20th 2008 5:07PM Wow, Qantas is the only major air carrier to never have had a crash and now they seem to have all these problems. Still, great airline.
Dad Chains Himself to Electric Meter to Save Daughter's Life (ParentDish)
Nov 18th 2008 11:19AM Actually, it is true that it is against the law in most states to cut off power to the medically needy or in the winter where someone could freeze to death. The power company can use scare tactics and threaten, but the law is on the side of the resident in certain life threatening situations.
Richard Simmons will rev up shoppers obscenely early on Black Friday (WalletPop)
Nov 14th 2008 2:53PM Oh, no, I can't take Richard Simmons at 4 pm much less 4 am! He has to be on drugs to be that perky all the time. But I wouldn't be in line to shop at 4 am on Black Friday anyway, so it's a moot point.
The Most Irritating Phrases in the English Language (Lemondrop)
Nov 13th 2008 3:13PM When people (teens mostly to blame) use "like" and "'ya know" every fourth word. Like, people, ya know, what's with the, like, like all the time, ya know? This can make the most intelligent person sound like they never made it past the sixth grade.
El Paso dance team spikes rival's brownies (ParentDish)
Nov 13th 2008 11:40AM What do you want to bet that if an adult did this to other adults that person would be in court and facing hard charges? High schoolers are old enough to know better. They should at least have to go through the court system and get probation or community services and fines. If I got to stay home from school for three days I'd be jumping for joy! They need to face the music not get a slap on the wrist. I weep for the future if this is the next generation to be running the country.
Michelle Obama's Diamond Earrings (Luxist)
Nov 11th 2008 4:19PM I seriously doubt they paid for these earrings. Just like stars on the red carpet they are probably "loaners" from some jeweler wanting his product to be worn. Chill out, people, and quit making assumptions based on some stupid article that probably has no bearing! God, do you believe everything you read?
