Jul 18th 2007 1:49PM Has anyone out there ever heard of due process? I'd love to be the attorney representing the first and any subsequent lawsuits stemming from someone's car being crushed because of what they MIGHT do and because of what the car looks and sounds like. Why not arrest people as they leave prison because of the rate of recidivism? Toss them back in because of what they MIGHT do. Canada doesn't extradite a criminal who has committed a capital crime unless the death penalty is taken off the table. They don't care what a murderer or kidnapper MIGHT do if spared. Why not give people and their cars the same consideration?

It's just too bad for the decent people of the world that you had to be invented at all. The Compaq suitcase computer wasn't ugly. At the time it would run software that IBM's wouldn't. When the first IBM portable computer was announced at a press conference a reporter got up and asked if the IBM was COMPAQ compatible. Get real, people. Times do change but it all has to start somewhere.

Jul 11th 2007 12:35PM Why should the All-Star game be a popularity or sentiment contest and why should every team be represented? This just means that players will be chosen who don't deserve to be on the same field with REAL All-Stars. The World Series home field advantage rule is an absolute joke, as is Bud Selig. The game is irrelevant and there is no incentive for the majority of the players, but someone who doesn't deserve to be there could conceivably cause some who do to be deprived of a World Series Ring. This is truly pathetic. All-Star appearances and the home field advantage in the World Series should be based on performances and nothing else.

As for 2-year olds not being able to read, what about what they can hear when some no-class piece of dirt decides to read the t-shirt out loud for the heck of it? 2-year olds NEVER imitate, do they? This isn't to speak of other kids in the crowd who CAN read and who often imitate examples. Some role model. Maybe if a-rod had any brains or class he might have suggested that this was not appropriate attire. Note: No CAPS in that name is NOT a typo.

Even the porn video wasn't that great. I'll also bet it was really surprised to find that it couldn't buy its way out of trouble. Kudos to Delgadillo for a change, and as far as the early release is concerned maybe he ought to follow the money and see where it leads.
