Little Hero (MyDaily)

Aug 17th 2010 2:44PM AND THIS IS PRECISELY WHY KIDS SHOULD LEARN TO SWIM AT THE EARLIEST OPPORTUNITY. THIS LITTLE GIRL OBVIOUSLY HAS GREAT PARENTS WHO ARE BRINGING HER UP WITH THE RIGHT ATTITUDE AND VALUES AS WELL AS SUPREME SELF-CONFIDENCE AND COURAGE. I HOPE HER LITTLE TWO-YEAR-OLD FRIEND IS TAUGHT HOW TO SWIM ASAP. SHE HAS A TRUE FRIEND INDEED.

WHAT A BRAVE LITTLE LADY!

That Was a Garage? (Shelterpop)

Jul 19th 2010 2:14PM Can I have a transformation of my out-dated income, with add-ons, the bells and the whistles please?
It's nice to see something so well done and tasteful, but it's easy to make all kinds of transformations when money's no object. The trick is to show something nice, do-able and within the price range of the majority. It's not sour grapes, envy or negativity. Just a request for realism.

Sean Shed 258 Pounds Without a Single Salad (That's Fit)

Jul 14th 2010 1:25PM The person who doesn't believe that the photos are of the same person must be in denial. The EARS are the same, the cast of the eyes is the same, and those are things that any ID focuses on. Sean deserves all the encouragement in the world, not dreary drivel from naysayers.

Sean Shed 258 Pounds Without a Single Salad (That's Fit)

Jul 14th 2010 1:19PM AMAZING! You've gone from Blimp to Hunk, lost the pounds and gained both your self-respect and increased the admiration showered on you by your daughters and all who read your story. Congratulations Sean!

Chelsea Clinton Wedding Details (AOL Hot Searches)

Jul 2nd 2010 1:31PM "If any person knows of any just impediment why this man and this woman should be joined in lawful matrimony, let them speak now or forever hold their peace"

I think we need some "forever hold their peace" observance around here.
All the best Chelsea and Marc, may peace, harmony and joy be yours forever.

Should Your Family Share a Bed? (ParentDish)

Jun 21st 2010 3:00PM I have two grown, married kids, and four grandchildren. All have received warm and loving support from their parents. Each is an individual with their own preferences. My son would climb out of his crib and cuddle with us until about age 4. His sister rarely did. My grandchildren are just as varied. I feel that if a child wants and needs company and comfort, it should be there when they seek it. There's nothing wrong with any child wanting to snuggle with their parents in their bed - goodness - that's where they started their life in the first place! However, I have seen kids who are so clingy you wonder how they ever left the womb and got born in the first place, and I do suspect there are mothers who like to be "needed" and subconsciously encourage dependent behavior. As long as the kids aren't used as an excuse and a barrier to their parents intimacy, I see nothing wrong - after all - why on earth do two people need queen and king-size beds anyway unless it's so the kids and the pets have room too?

Dog Grooming Contests Spark Controversy (Pawnation OLD)

Apr 26th 2010 1:58PM I REALLY wish dogs could add their comments - I sincerely doubt whether a single dog would willingly submit to the hours and hours of fussing and shampooing, blow-drying,tinting and clipping that all this fruitless, pointless, BRAINLESS and USELESS activity is dedicated to. I've seen pictures of cats all painted up too. I don't think this is either kind or considerate to the animals. Dogs and cats have been domestic pets for centuries. Over the centuries they've been treated kindly or cruelly. Nowadays we think of ourselves as enlightened, and aware of our need for correct behavior towards fellow-creatures of all sizes. This is an asinine step backwards and is, in my opinion, EXPLOITATION of innocents, SELF-GRATIFICATION for addle-brained individuals who think they're "artistic", GREED for the big money prizes their pets don't share, and a totally TWISTED concept of what true love of pets involves.

'Big Bang Theory' Set Visit: Are Leonard and Penny Headed for a Big Break-Up? (Inside TV Blog)

Mar 26th 2010 1:47PM Zany, offbeat in the best possible way, highly original and supremely entertaining. "Owl and pussycat" pairings have been a part of the human scene forever, and we've all met someone with at least some of the traits of these five characters, and they are played with finesse by a cool bunch of actors. Love it, and always try to watch each episode. Never been disappointed.
