May 13th 2010 9:25AM I doubt that you are a teacher. If you are then you need to read that law again. The state only mandates what kind of food the SCHOOL can serve not what kind the students can bring in on their own. At most the only thing that should have been done was the teacher should have taken the candy away. And if it still bothered her then she could have asked the parent not to send anymore candy to school with the child. Detention is absolutely unwarranted in this situation.

Meaning the problem started with bush, and now everybody is expecting the President to fix everything bush messed up in the next year or two. It is an impossible task with the time given. The writer of the article obviously took the phrase the wrong way.

Jan 13th 2010 11:28AM I'm glad somebody else heard about that too. These are not the first ones to have it done. There was a special about tattoos and body mods on the history channel a while back and they showed this guy who pioneered this. He wouldn't tell exactly how it was done but he did use a hypodermic needle during the procedure. Why msnbc chose not to do the homework before airing this story is beyond me though.
