Jun 8th 2009 9:35AM I agree with you kristine! As an black woman, it women like "D" who makes it hard for all of us. I like that her prince is someone of a different race. I love to let my daughter watch the Disney channel but refuse to let her watch BET and their videos. That GARBAGE is detrimental to the growing of young black women and should be off the air. All that booty shaking is NOT cute. So go ahead Disney and keep up the good work!!

Mar 21st 2009 11:39AM As a black woman and a mother of a young female child; I say GET OVER IT. I see no problem in the princess dating someone outside her race. I date outside my race and my daughter knows it. She loves the Disney Princesses and I do too, and this is wonderful. You guys say what about the minority and how come he couldn't be black. What about the minority of interracial relationships????

Feb 27th 2009 12:18AM There was a set of twins that went to school around here named Orangejello and Lemonjello...stoory is when their mom was pregnant with them, that's what she craved all the time orange jello and lemon jello. I've heard that story since the 8th grade, that's been going on 12 yrs ago, some teacher for the next 4 yrs never failed to write their names on the board and say everyone...what does this say..and every year the idoits in my class were amazed...lol

But I got my daughters name off the internet. Kameryn Breonna...pretty normal but no girl in this county has "Cameron" spelled like my baby.

Barbie won't settle for $100 million, wants complete destruction of Bratz (WalletPop)

Nov 11th 2008 10:15PM As a parent of a 4-yr-old that loves Bratz, I would have a hard time buying toys for her. She knows how teens dress these days and knows it's not appropriate for herself. She's a smart girl. Anyways I but her Bratz because I am trying to teach her there are more than just black and white women in the world. We all look differetn and we are all beautiful. Show me an Asian barbie and I'll buy her. We are African-American, she has an equal number of Barbies and Bratz dolls. Sasha and Cloe from Bratz are her fave (Sasha because she can dance and Cloe because she plays soccer). Anyways, point is, if you like the dolls and wanna teach your girls something thats important in life, buy them both, if not, stick to the ultra conservative barbie and buy only all african american or probably in most of these cases, all Caucasian.
