Feb 16th 2008 11:29PM I have written a few opinionated comments to this blog.. yes, there should be a certain amount of respect given to members of the law enforcement community. I for one, have had the privelege of serving as a SP in the Air Force, a Corrections officer in a fair sized County jail, and spent time in a patrol role,and as a Reserve officer. If I have learned anything from those situations, is that people,kids included, need RESPECT!I'm not saying kiss their butts, but respect them as human beings, listen to them, and see where they are coming from. Amazing results can happen, and just maybe, if this officer could take the time to RELATE to the skaters, THEY would possibly RESPECT him, and law Enforcement in general.
