Vet's Widow and Son Receive Gift of a Lifetime (AOL Real Estate)

Dec 19th 2011 10:12PM It disturbed me too that the house has not yet been built. The developer gets the credit in front of the crowd (and us), but the performance is many months away. Hope it all goes well.

Jim Zorn Hired as Chiefs' QBs Coach (Fanhouse NFL Blog)

Feb 15th 2011 11:41PM Zorn was initially hired as Redskins Offensive Coordinator with no experience more than QB coach. After two weeks, Zorn was promoted to head coach when the Redskins Brain Trust (Dan Synder and Vinnie Cerato) could not attract a real head coach. Zorn had no offensive coordinator to help him. Nevertheless, he made the best of a situation beyond his skill set. With the Ravens, Zorn returned to his level, QB coach, and that is how the Chiefs will use him. When will San Diego realize Norm Turner is an offensive coordinator and not a head coach?

Nurse Sarah Casareto Not Likely to Be Rehired (AOL Jobs)

Feb 14th 2011 9:18PM Because the nurse administered the anesthesia by syringe, I question whether there was an anesthetist present. If she goes to prison, I wonder also whether she'll get a job in the prison pharmacy because of her expertise?

Five Biggest Mistakes Retirees Make (WalletPop)

Jan 7th 2011 10:30PM "loosing" You lost me right there. You are not too old to learn, "just saying."

Report: Vikings Could Play 2011 Season at TCF Bank Stadium (Fanhouse NFL Blog)

Dec 28th 2010 6:02PM In the old days, football seasons were completed by early December except for a few bowl games held in warm weather venues. The expanded NFL schedules (from 12 to the present 16 games with an elaborate playoff schedule) put fans outside in conditions that are often more appropriate to skiing or hockey. The equipment is better, to be sure, but today's players and fans are frequently enduring conditions far tougher than the storied "good old days."

Dominic Raiola Taunts Dolphins Fans After Lions' Victory (Fanhouse NFL Blog)

Dec 28th 2010 12:33PM You are right, and this "fan" behavior is certainly not confined to the Dolphins or Lions. For the ultimate solution, I'm not sure, but the place to begin is with ourselves, respecting the opponent and our surroundings.

Chargers vs. Bengals: Carson Palmer's Big Game Wipes Out San Diego (Fanhouse NFL Blog)

Dec 27th 2010 12:42AM Jerry, You'd better Norvell quick before his price goes up.

Sick Kids in Rural Areas Can't Find a Dose of Doctor Care (ParentDish)

Dec 27th 2010 12:16AM There was a federal program in which med students had their tuition paid in exchange for agreeing to practice for a couple of years at an indian reservation. As the article relates, it is difficult to find doctors to work "in the boonies." I came across a chap who worked half the agreed time and then walked away. With what he made at his new practice, he wanted to pay the penalty for early termination of his agreement. It was a dispassionate business decision on his part with no regard for those "left in the lurch." Hope he's not treating you.

Rick Ross Associate Killed in Home Invasion (The Boombox)

Dec 16th 2010 12:32PM For those of you who remember Washington Redskin Safety Sean Taylor, killed by burglars in his Miami home in November 2007, there has not yet been a trial for his killers, although one did plead guilty.
