Farmers are the unhappiest of the self-employed (That's Fit)

Aug 9th 2007 2:57PM With government programs offering money to anyone who has land, even if they don't farm it, it's not hard to see those who work hard to make their land work best for them become disillusioned. And under that gov't program, many farmers who need that extra income don't qualify, for whatever technical reason, another reason to be unhappy about being a farmer.

McDonald's sued in China for too much English (BloggingStocks)

Aug 5th 2007 8:42PM Did they make their request in English or Chinese? After all, I bet McDonald's has the right to know what they're being sued for! Oh right, they went right into the courts. Jeesh, and I thought frivolous lawsuits ended at America's borders...

Kid wants Fear Factor Pops; mom freaks out (Slashfood)

Aug 14th 2006 3:02PM Oh please! Get a life...the fact that there is even a blog debating the positive and negative reasons for buying ice cream/popsicles featuring eyeballs and slime tells me that our priorities are screwed up. Have you seen the Halloween costumes for little kids these days?!

And for the record, I bought these for my kids as soon as I saw them and my children's ages are 11, 8, & 5. They thought those things were the coolest, and didn't become "scarred" over eating a bubblegum eyeball.
