Vatican Official: Church Erred in Holding Kennedy Funeral (Politics Daily)
Sep 23rd 2009 6:31PM "That is why I don't go to Church anymore."
I doubt that, most people don't go to Church anymore because of personal sin and lack of prayer. No matter how bad the priesthood and bishops get we have to support the Church. Jesus founded it with His own blood.
No one doubts that the priesthood was a lot worse leading up to the Protestant revolution but those who stayed and truly reformed the Church were the heroes.

Scrap This Abortion Debate and Start Over (Politics Daily)
Apr 27th 2009 11:19AM Trying to position yourself in the "rational" middle is the least logically consistent argument. Either God created us at the moment of conception, and we are to be valued because of that, or we are cosmic accidents - little more than cattle.
I used to be "pro-choice", before my conversion, my reasoning was like this: "Personally I wouldn't have wanted my wife to have an abortion but if the rest of you cows want to kill your calves that is fine with me - less of you to compete with or to take my grain!"
Now that Christ has turned me away from the world and towards Himself, my reasoning is like this: "Every person has the right to life because we have a loving Father who created everyone of us to know Him, love Him and serve Him in this world and be happy with Him forever in the next!"
God is in the details (DNA) and we know now that at the moment of conception that the sperm and egg meet there is DNA activity. Science shows us this but we still don't want to see it.
If you believe that life begins at conception you can't justify RU-486 or early abortions and remain logically consistent.
But to that point Steven, I would agree that most Americans who claim to be Christians don't have a problem with early abortions because they really aren't thinking through the logic of their positions. They only see competition, complications and cows (no offense to Hindu's).
Ultimately if you don't think that God made human life sacred and to valued, at any stage, then you don't agree with the Christian position which has been consistent for 2,000 years and you should reconsider it.
