Viagra Video Game Pulled By FDA (Switched)

Nov 25th 2008 2:45PM Sorry, I have a hard time accepting that this constitutes a good use of our tax dollars. In as much as Pfizer has more than recovered the developmental costs of Viagra -which was an accidental side benefit in the first place- the FDA & would better serve the American people by allowing generics to be introduced into the market place. Only the fat cats at Pfizer have gained from the 20+years of a virtual monopoly on this drug. Sadly, we are duped into believing that focusing on advertising means that the FDA is doing a good job. How about banning ALL prescription drug advertising and put the decision of which drugs to prescribe back in the hands of the Doctors and pharmacies where it belongs.

And for all you drug company apologists out there, don't bother responding, no one is going to believe a word you say. It's all about the bucks and gouging as many of them as possible out of the pockets of your customers.
