Rep: Kelly Preston Not in Labor; John Travolta Jet Story '100 Percent False' (PopEater)

Nov 15th 2010 2:13PM John Travolta was indeed in the remake of Hairspray in 2007! He was in drag as Edna Turnblad, the fat mother... anyway, do your research before spouting off on something you obviously know nothing about. He was nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance.

9-year-old Forgotten at Chicago Airport (AOL Travel News)

Jul 28th 2010 7:24PM Jennifer, if you would have read the article, the mother had the flight number that he was supposed to be on. They neglected to put him on the plane as they were paid extra to do. When the boy asked about when the plane would take off, he was repeatedly told that the flight was delayed and not to worry.
He had no way of knowing that the plane had taken off without him. The mother had no idea that he would not be on the flight, once it took off after the delay, until she arrived at the airport to meet the flight when it finally did arrive.
When he was not on the flight when it arrived in Ottowa, she immediately called the boy and had him pass the phone to the attendant in charge of the room they were holding him in.
These rooms, by the way, are behind locked, unmarked doors within the terminal. Once a child is checked in, they cannot leave unless they are escorted by authorized personell. I know this because my then 13yr old grandson had to be checked in to one of these rooms at PDX when he flew home to San Diego after a visit with me. Thank God, they got him on his flight, which had been delayed, and he made it home safely with no mix-up. We did not find out about the delay until we had already waited for an hour in the terminal for him to board the flight. Due to an appointment that I had to keep, I had no choice but to check him in to the room to wait for his flight. They let me and his aunt, my other daughter, come in the room with him for a while to make sure that he was safe and comfortable. They also called his mother, my oldest daughter, in San Diego to tell her of the delay and gave her flight information and a contact number directly to the room to call if she had any further questions.
What happened in this instance should have never occured. If they had been as professional and on top of things in Chicago, as they were in Portland with my grandson, he would have been on the plane when it arrived in Ottowa.
This parent should sue all involved and some employees should be severely reprimanded for what happened!

9-year-old Forgotten at Chicago Airport (AOL Travel News)

Jul 28th 2010 6:41PM @Kathy 10:15AM, You obviously did not read the article. If you did, you must have memory and comprehension issues. 1)The parents paid $200 for the airlines to assure his safe and timely transfer between the planes at Chicago. 2) The child did have a cell phone and called his mother to tell her of the flight delay. 3) When the mother went to the airport in Canada to meet him on the flight, he was not on it. 4) He did ask repeatedly as to when they would be departing, and was told simply, "The flight has been delayed." 5) When he was not on the plane when it landed in Ottowa, the mother called the boy on the cell phone that they (the parents) had provided for him. She asked her son to give the phone to whoever was in charge in the "lounge" where they had put him to wait. 6) When the mother spoke to the attendant in charge, she was treated rudely and the attendant complained to the mother about how busy she was. In the future, it may be wise for you to try to comprehend what you are reading before spewing forth with your ignorance of the facts in a situation.

Sir Paul McCartney Happy to Devote Life to Daughter (Spinner)

Jan 20th 2010 9:53PM John was the asshole, not Paul. John virtually abandoned his oldest son, Julian, when he divorced Cynthia and took up with Yoko Ono. Paul took Julian under his wing and was more of a father figure to him than his own dead-beat dad was. Paul even wrote the song Hey Jude for Julian, to help console him after John left. Sir Paul is an icon in the music industry.

The Cherokee Nation is not from Oklahoma! You need to do your own
homework before you try to correct anyone else.

Perhapse you may want to do some more research of your own, marie. Check out http://www.cherokee.org/Culture/57/Page/default.aspx . There you will find info on The Trail of Tears, and how the Cherokee Nation came to be in Oklahoma. It is not the original home land of the Cherokee, but it was one that many have dwelt in for over 100 years. And then our illustrious government saw fit to take most of that away from them, not long after it was given to them.
