Dollar General vs. Walmart--Price Comparisons on 10 Standard Grocery Items (WalletPop)
Jan 19th 2011 9:25AM I had just left Target the other day, heading home I forgot I needed a few of what I had bought .. stopped in at Walmart on the way home, and guess what? Walmart was HIGHER .. I said "I just bought the SAME thing at Target .. it's lower there . " S she said, "Oh, we'll match it IF you have the ad". Uh ... there was NO ad .. the price was just lower and they wouldn't match it off of the receipt .. which the ink was still wet. So, if someone's prices are lower .. without being on sale .. sorry .. out of luck. They'll only match it off of the sale ad. Doesn't that beat all?
Dollar General vs. Walmart--Price Comparisons on 10 Standard Grocery Items (WalletPop)
Jan 19th 2011 9:20AM It's not just Dollar General beating Walmart prices. Even some of the chians (Kroger, Albertsons) are beating W'mart prices. W'mart sucked in folks at the beginning with their very low prices. Then did away with the "Made in America", started raising their prices and no one was the wiser .. because the all assume W'mart was/IS still the lowest, so, why shop anywhere else? Many folks DON'T KNOW .. W'mart is NOT the lowest anymore. They've also pulled many name brand products and the ones they have, the prices are the same as the other grocery stores.

DMX to Spend Year in Prison After Probation Is Revoked (The Boombox)
Dec 19th 2010 11:51AM Funny thing how this always works ... when a white celebrity gets into trouble, gets sentenced to do jailtime, they always get off .. a black man? he will do the jailtime ... I am a white woman ... but you don't have to be black to see this.
Traveling 33,000 Miles to Help Fight Cancer (AOL Travel News)
Oct 6th 2010 12:25AM What a wonderful and inspiring story. Something to think about ... the Cancer Soc has been around for about 100 yrs. Every time you hear about a potential cure ... after a while, you stop hearing about it. There is a cancer clinic turning up on every corner ... everywhere. Seems the Cancer Society would have more to lose by finding a cure. Sounds rather obtuse but would be cheaper to pay someone off, buy their research materials and send them off with any dollar amount for the rest of their life, rather than lose billions of dollars anually ...

Jul 9th 2010 1:49PM About this person's comment on Mt Everest ... "paying $65,000 to do something that's already been done." Well, golly .. Guess I should pass on the Eiffel Tower .. pay to do something others have done .... should pass on a bunch of things because .. it's 'been done'? Wow ... just wow with this person. Things we do are personal adventures, new adventures, adventures with our families ...
