Student's Harvey Milk Report Censored By School (ParentDish)

May 25th 2009 10:11AM Any child who is at least 10 or older, already knows what "gay" is. I really feel the school overeacted on this one. It's so common these days, probably not one child would have batted an eye when the presentation was shown and the word "gay" came up. As much as parents would like to shelter their children from these things, it's a strange world out there and they need to be aware that their children are going to see and hear a lot of things about a lot of subjects whether they like it or not. You can't "baby" them forever. I can't imagine a teenager that never heard the word gay or one that doesn't already know of gay people.

Public Support For Trillion Dollar Stimulus Dropping (Politics Daily)

Feb 5th 2009 10:53AM Yesterday, I saw a man standing out by the street near a major shopping center. He was holding a sign that said, "hungry, please spare some cash". I guess this is a sign of things to come. The biggest problem with the stimulus bill is that it will take time to implement all the programs and projects. What we need is some money to stimulate the average persons bank account. We've lost our butts in our 401k's, the price of food has risen consistantly, gasoline is on the way back up too, wages have stagnated, and our bank accounts are emptying out quick! Help! We need a bailout too!

The Most Irritating Phrases in the English Language (Lemondrop)

Nov 17th 2008 3:41AM The two phrases I find irritating are, "basically" and "ya know what I'm sayin'"! In any conversation, the person will repeat this over and over and over. It makes you want to say, "shut up"!

Joe the Plumber the Next Country Star? (The Boot)

Nov 3rd 2008 4:07AM McCain took away his "American Dream" of owning his own business! lol I guess he really wasn't all that serious about it in the first place. Now he's gonna get his 15 minutes of fame and will soon be forgotten. He's just a flash in the pan!

Pennsylvania hotel breaking all the rules (Gadling)

Oct 1st 2008 10:04AM In June, we stayed the weekend at a Holiday Inn Express in Ohio. It was extremely nice and very clean. I'd say the one in this story is not the status quo. One of a few, I believe.

Burger King's $200 Burger (Luxist)

Jun 22nd 2008 3:33PM Sounds pretty horrible! I've never even heard of most of the ingredients. At least the money from sales goes to charity. Bon Appetit! lol
