Aug 24th 2009 5:59PM I have never heard a comment on this issue said so eloquently. You have addressed the issue of how bad racism was and that it is not that way anymore and that we should move on. Let's stop being so sensitive about everything. I find it hard to believe that a company would manufacture a doll like this simply to insult a whole race. I am sure that they lost millions of dollars on the whole debacle. If people would only look at situations like this in its true light. No one would do something like this on purpose, as was proven when they took it off of the shelves, at a great monetary loss to them I am sure. You make your point in a very mature well thought out way, and I wish that more people thought like you, and could express themselves as well as you do.

Did you notice that she said she is 75? I think it is great that she is even trying to use all of the new fangled technology out there today! Zella, you go girl!!! And as far as having a life source with her when she goes out? Maybe you should follow your own advice. Most normal, decent human beings can have a conversation or post something online without having to use profanity What is wrong with being respectful to someone by not using that filthy language. I am no saint, and use that word sometimes myself, but I take into account who is around and will be exposed to my language. Of course I have the freedom of speech, but I was raised to respect other people, and therefore refrain from using that kind of language when there are people around who might be offended by it.

She needs to get over herself and look at it in the sense that it was done, to re-create history and make it enjoyable for the children to learn. What is demeaning about two different cultures, literally two different worlds, coming together to give thanks for what they have? I don't remember anything de-meaning towards the indians on Thanksgiving.
