TUAW's Daily App: Word Warrior (TUAW.com)

Nov 11th 2010 12:05PM So its sortof fun, but the fact that they bring up the same set of maybe 12 letters every round gets old - find myself spelling out the same 30 or so words constantly.

SmackDown: Should Body Piercings Be Allowed in School? (ParentDish)

Sep 15th 2010 9:31AM Teresa,

Think before you comment. Much like wearing a t-shirt with profanity on it, the tattoo you mention would actively HURT others. I've seen situations where my son (when he was learning to read) started sounding out t-shirts like that and it made me want to smack the person wearing it.

On the other hand, a tiny nose stud...tell me how that hurts anyone, is a distraction, or is in any way offensive?

As for being professional, my company hires a large number of hindi folks and they all have studs...a nose stud is not the "huge shocker" that it once was.

Sep 15th 2010 9:15AM Flawed thinking...or the thinking of someone from an older generation. I work in a professional environment for a fortune 100 company. I see plenty of people in our office with nose piercings...granted i've not seen any eyebrow or lip piercings, but a stud in the nose is no longer the "shock" that it once was. Much like an earring for a man was once considered to be "rebellious" - do you even notice it anymore?

Sep 15th 2010 9:11AM Elizabeth is a bloody moron. How in the hell can you compare a nose piercing to the right to bear arms? Her nose piercing isn't going to hurt anyone, it's not going to kill anyone or herself. Whether or not you want to allow the piercing, that may be one of the dumbest things I've ever read.

Jay Leno a Chevy Volt intender? Umm... not so much (Autoblog)

Jul 21st 2010 5:17PM What sucks is that the original volt concept took more of its looks from the camaro - at which point people might well have been at least interested in lining up to see, if not to purchase.

Now? Well, you better hope the economy stays crappy enough that the milage over-takes the awful looks!

Exclusive: BlackBerry 9800 for AT&T fully exposed! (Engadget)

Jun 24th 2010 3:11PM I dig the slider form factor - however if it's a touch screen I just hope and pray that they've abandoned that garbage touch screen they used on the storm.

Dec 7th 2009 1:22PM No 3G and much higher price tag than originally promised = no interest on my side.
199 and it'd be interesting, but truth told, the group this would REALLY appeal to would be commuters (lord knows I abuse the hell out of my iphone on the train) - but with no, non-wifi connectivity, I fail to see what this would do for me. I mean, why would I use this thing as opposed to a laptop? Just another gadget that was made simply for the sake of saying "look what we made".
