Tiger Woods, Inc.: Greatest Sports Marketing Swindle Ever (Fanhouse Golf Blog)

Apr 1st 2010 9:49PM The entire media business is based on convincing someone to buy something that is advertised, so where is the surprise that someone has made money on endorsing a product or service. Depends on which side of the coin the media moguls want you to portray, an angelic or bad - boy or girl, whatever that is appealing to promote a product has always been to rule.
On the other side of nice, guys and gals like Madonna or pick any rapper, play up their bad attitudes/ anti-social personas.
Right now with media frenzy about Tiger, it's only more of the commercial media wanting to fill their airwaves with more junk to sell more soap to us all during their commercial breaks. Trying to turn anyone's foibles for personal gain like all these newsreporter's non-stop muckraking is not journalism at all, it is worse than gossip, and has turned to character assasination, and is an attempt to 'blacklist'(no pun intended) someone from their profession. The real story that is not covered is the mind games involved with advertising and marketing that companies used against the public all the time.
So, leave this downtrodden man alone to reconcile with his wife, whatever his indiscretions were, I would hate to be the one to cast the first stone, this is not Salem in the 1600's.

All this diatribe is really insecurity masked by a sense of indignation. All this is really stuffings for turkey-dodo-ish belly aching.
We should focus on resolving a 'real' threat of the loose nukes before it drops in our back yard. Oh, by the way, the sea is dying too. So, let's keep the dialog an intelligent one, and away from these school yard antics.

Hackers Rack Up $12,000 Bill on Homeland Security Phones (Switched)

Aug 22nd 2008 6:38AM Why not just block those numbers called in the future? That will put a stop to stolen phones or access numbers. The thief will think twice about calling home to friends and family to chat on someone else's dime.
