Christopher Put an End to Emotional Eating and Lost Almost 100 Lbs (That's Fit)

Feb 23rd 2010 11:09AM Thanks everyone! I am inordinately proud of what I have done. And yes, at my heaviest the 42's could be a bit tight, and did not ride properly on my hips. I do wear a 32 now, without a muffin top.

Laura, like suesannan said, DON'T GIVE UP. I realized how silly it was to eat to make myself feel better when all it did was make me feel worse. Don't beat yourself up for slipping - that just makes you slip up more. Understand that you did something that you no longer want to do, then resolve to not do it again.

Faith, I agree totally. In fact, my breakfast this morning is going to be greek yogurt mixed with an oat/flax hot cereal (perfect, since we are freezing here in Chicago). Fiber had been one of my greatest weapons to fight fat.

Alicia, thank you. I haven't laughed so loud in a long time. Loved it. *wink* back.

And, uh, Gloria, I mention my boyfriend, Rick, under How I Gained It (where I made the terrible gramatical error of saying "for my boyfriend and I.")

As Obama Picks Pup, Biden's Breeder Hounded by PETA (Politics Daily)

Apr 11th 2009 9:58AM I manage a greaat, ethical pet store, and we deal with this sort of crap all the time. I really wish that people would take the time to learn before they move.

And by the way, why are you all so focused on dogs? Why not pay attention to something a little more important: children. Why aren't these nuts attacking OB-GYNs and prospective parents for promoting breeding when there are so many children that need to be adopted?

Watermelon is a vegetable, says Associated Press (Slashfood)

Jul 5th 2006 6:11PM I was a biology major in college, and, technically, a watermelon is a fruit. So are tomatoes, squash, and cucumbers. The defining factor is if it comes FROM A FLOWER. Anything else, be it from the stem, the leaves, the roots, and even flowers, are vegetables. Some people used to think that if you cooked it, it was a vegetable.
