Nokia taking Ovi Store criticism to heart, planning revamped version to rival App Store (Engadget)

Dec 11th 2009 11:15AM OVI store was terrible. I say was because I left Nokia for Android.

Their NYC flagship store was a joke. I went in there with my N95 and they tried to shove it in a case for a different model nearly breaking it. And that bad service was after I interrupted the poser store staff's personal conversations.

My 2nd visit to the store was the same - the staff didn't care about the product so why would a customer.

Apple hits back at Verizon in new iPhone ads (video) (Engadget)

Nov 24th 2009 9:15AM All of the ATT/Apple commercials are misleading. I was on ATT in NY Metro for 10 years and always had call issues. Moved to Verizon with the Droid launch and no dropped calls. And even better - when someone calls me, my phone rings.

Poll: Will the DROID have you in its clutches? (Engadget)

Nov 6th 2009 12:36PM had the droid in my hands last night and just couldn't buy it. There is something not right about the design - as if it's a very old design or something. Even the physical keyboard looks like it came from an old device. I so wanted this phone for Android, but the Eris looks so much better. Agree with others who want the Eris form factor with the Droid power. Guess I'm stuck waiting for the next Android phone.

Some more perspective on the DROID and multitouch (Engadget)

Nov 4th 2009 9:21PM The official Verizon Droid website lists Multi Touch in small print on the circular list.

November 6: stores open at 6AM for DROID, Droid Eris? (Engadget)

Oct 30th 2009 4:05PM Pre-ordered so no waiting outside - though it might be fun. I'll be jumping ship from ATT for their lousy service. Too many dropped calls and stinky coverage even in NY Metro area. Will be sad to say goodbye to my N95 - great phone.

Best Buy offering DROID pre-orders as of today, automates the mail-in rebate (Engadget)

Oct 30th 2009 8:16AM BBMobile had no idea what the phone even was and insisted that it was for Sprint. Went to a full BB and their mobile dept. knew the entire process - fill out a flyer, buy gift cart walk out with paper saying to return on release date. But they do collect phone numbers so maybe it could be earlier. BB Mobile needs to get their act together.

Chumby, now with less adorable softness: meet the One (Engadget)

Sep 30th 2009 9:25AM Are the original Chumbys being phased out? Their site it sold out of all of them but a freaky purple. If the new one is 100 - I'll bite.

Last Polaroid cameras and film to be sold at Urban Outfitters tomorrow (Engadget)

Aug 20th 2009 12:36PM remember the good old days when we used to make drawings on cave walls? Seriously - the means for making art has always been changing. And that's a good thing as it keeps it all fresh. So what if kids don't remember film cameras - do you remember early technology? I'd gladly forget my audo tapes if I had the nerve to toss them in the trash.

28 Days Later: Nintendo DSi (Switched)

Jun 22nd 2009 3:13PM Agree with the review - if you are new to the DS, buy the DSi. If you have a DS phat and want to upgrade, buy the DSi. If you have the DS Lite then save the cash and wait for the next version. The camera is a toy, the audio player nice but a pain to get music on it, the download store is not worth the load time.

PSP Go lacks mini USB, compatibility with existing accessories, common sense (Engadget)

Jun 8th 2009 9:11AM typical of big business to focus on selling us more crap. I'm no fanboy of anything. I gave up on the PSP when they dropped the UMD movies which said to me "run away". I have a DSi now and the downloadable games promise was a lie - the game stink. I'll stick with my home console XBox 360 and Wii and when I'm out in the wilds of the real world - I may just look around and experience reality for a bit. And it will save me money.
