Nov 19th 2011 7:30AM when i bought a house the rule was 20% down. thats what i did...we are in this mess because loan requirement are crazy.. anywhere from nothing down to interet only.. banks were forced to make these loans....they just resold to fannie and freddie.....chris dodd and barney frank should be cellmates.

BUT-------banks were forced to give loans they never would have made... variable interest, no down payment,low down payment,interest only etc etc etc....when i bought my house i paid what was the norm. 20%.........the banks wernt stupid, they sold the mortgages to fannie and freed... fannie and freddie are bottomless pits....chris dodd and barney frank are the two behind this disaster which has crippled our country. they should be cell-mates.

Oct 12th 2011 11:37AM i didnt know patch was an aol thing....since the huffington post merger aol has gone over the deep leftwing cliff. not that they wernt before, but ten times worse now. i dropped my aol paid membership because of this. because of this i don't know if i can trust patch anymore to be fair.
