Jun 15th 2010 7:20PM This girl put herself in the public eye, and therefore any comments for or against her have the right to be made public. And how was her writing inappropriate??? She spoke her mind in a very non-offensive manner. I personally think that if the parents can afford the boat, etc for this teenage girl to sail around the world, then they should have to pay for any rescue efforts that had to be done. But now they cry poverty??? Sell the boat to help!

Jan 24th 2009 2:13AM You are so right Ed! What is it with everyone thinking it's okay to take whatever they want??? Unoccupied or not, the property wasn't abandoned. It's being leased out by a separate company. And if no one was staying in it, that's their prerogative. If my grandma flies south every winter for 6 months, does that give lowlifes permission to stay in her house while she's not using it??? When did it become socially acceptable for people to take without asking simply because they feel they have the right to???

Oct 17th 2008 10:02AM You don't need to wait until the embryo is implanted to find out if the baby has any hereditary diseases. I'm sure they picked the healthy eggs and sperm, feretilized only them, and then implanted the healthy embryos. So no, they didn't 'kill' other babies to get a healthy match. And if you had a young child, who was dying of some inherited disease, could you really look them in the eye and tell them, "yes, if I have another baby, we could cure you, but how would your younger brother/sister feel about it?" If I was the child that was engineered to save my older brother or sister, I would feel honored that I came into this world already serving a higher purpose than most people would ever even think to achieve in their lifetime. Maybe they wanted more children, but due to the disease decided not to. The second child wouldn't have a chance at life if not for science. And maybe these people could have the bigger family they had always wanted.

And yet, a simple thank you is too much for him? As someone trying to be President of the United States, whether for or against this war, he should have the respect and decency to at least shake a hand or two and say thanks. Would it have been that difficult????? Hopefully, if he does become president, which I hope doesn't happen, but if he does, I hope he doesn't need the troops on his side. Because if it was me fighting over there, I'd tell him to go to hell and fight his own war. Although with "Hussein" as president, he wouldn't be fighting terrorists...he'd be inviting them in and funding them! After all, family is family.

Aug 6th 2008 12:28PM Macs are definitely the way to go. They're built better, can run both mac and windows apps, and if you purchase apple care (for only like $169) then you won't have to worry about anything for 3 years. Well worth the money.
