May 28th 2008 2:14PM I practically grew up in the left field bleachers during the 1960s. On a trip home a couple of years ago, I went to a game - what a huge difference in the crowd! They were rude, obnoxious, and I wound up leaving in the 6th because I was so disgusted.
Seems that a lot of today's athletes aren't much better, with their performance enhancers and off field antics.

May 22nd 2008 12:53PM Aw, come on Dan! Jordin looked and sounded good last night. Remember, she recently had that serious problem with her vocal cords. She wasn't on top of her game, but still sounded very good. I thought she looked adorable - like a teenager - not a tramp like many of the other pop tarts her age.

I really enjoyed the show last night. The guest stars were great, loved the performances by this year's top 12, and even the featured Idol reject was entertaining. I couldn't stop laughing when the USC marching band came in playing that song (still chuckling even now). At least Reynaldo was pretty much in key with them!
I thought Jordin Sparks sounded fantastic and looked amazing. She still looks like a teenager and not a tramp like some of the other entertainers her age. Stay sweet Jordin!

May 21st 2008 12:12PM I'm with you! I love Taylor and I really like Daughtry too. Heck, I even bought Blake's CD (and like it). Each of them does their own style well.
Unfortunately, it seems like a lot of people will stick with only one style of music and diss everything else. They are missing out on some great stuff! I enjoy listening to nearly all kinds of music - if it's done well.

May 21st 2008 11:57AM This grandmother won't be buying "Archie's" CD, and my kids/grandkids better not buy it for me either! I usually try to find something more interesting to do (like doing a load of laundry) when he's on.
