Not only that, I would HOPE that EVERYONE would give the person RESPECT, regardless of what party they support. If you refuse to give respect to anyone who has gone through that, you are just plain out mean, go talk to a VET and let them tell you stories, get some empathy! Jul 8th 2008 4:35PM Ok, this is crazy! A sandal, high heel, tennis shoe string, heck even a boot can get caught into the escalators! This child was 3 years old, they aren't experts on walking on moving stairs for one thing. Perhaps if parents explained to them and watched them more closely getting on and off the escalator things like this would not happen. Hope she is doing fine and all, but suing because your child doesn't know how to walk appropriately (as most children at that age don't) on escalators is just another excuse for the parents to rake in the money. What a greedy society! Learn from a very sad lesson, teach the kid how to walk...heck keep the child off of it until she matures! But don't blame a company for an ACCIDENT that could have been prevented by watching, holding hands and training the child how to get on and off.
