Kinect Sports and Joy Ride previewed, in brief (video) (Engadget)

Jun 19th 2010 3:47AM @DocDoom the perfect combination would be a six axis motion sensing controller in each hand (maybe something like 4 trigger button lined up to each finger and an analog stick for each thumb) plus this! that's for the next xbox!! hopefully...

Brammo Enertia electric motorcycle now available (Engadget)

Jul 15th 2009 12:26AM This is definitely a great step forward from the old paradigm but it's priced so prohibitively, that this will only be purchased as a rich person's toy. Once they cut the price in half a year from now or whenever, it'll be much more practical but still won't sell like hotcakes.

Jul 8th 2009 5:33AM moral of the story, in5ane makes more money than your sorry ass. ok i get it. obviously there are people with alot of money to throw at stuff just to be the first ones to use it like the poor schlubs that spent $600 to have the iphone when it first came out. the price is somewhat understandable cuz brammo obviously would like to see a return on this puppy sooner rather than later, but come on. they're charging a little less than half of the cost of a (slightly used) prius that gets 50-60 mpg, goes alot faster than 45 mph, and is a car. meanwhile, you can get a 2006 ninja 250 on craigslist for $2000 which also is better than the brammo in every way. as far as being green, coal is responsible for about 55% of electricity generated in the u.s. which also gives off dirty emissions so you're not completely circumventing the problem.

Jul 7th 2009 10:48PM if these guys even sell 4 of these godforsaken hunks of wasted r&d and marketing dollars at $12,000 a pop plus tax, i'll go buy a hat and eat the whole thing.

Are Slashed Gadget Prices Set to Rise? (Switched)

Mar 19th 2009 6:58PM "Also, with Circuit City finally closing its doors, tech mega-retailer Best Buy doesn't have to work as hard to get your money."

since when is best buy the only place to buy electronics. i've actually never purchased anything over $30 at best buy or circuit city in years. all my big purchases have been on the net where prices are always cheaper, there is no tax, and shipping is sometimes free. and even when shipping isn't free, it still totals below what best buy sells it for. not to mention the selection at a b&m store doesn't compare to the internet's stock room. if prices start skyrocketing from here, i don't really see that translating to many business staying in business.

PlayStation Network snags 20M users, Xbox Live still way more profitable (Engadget)

Feb 26th 2009 6:29PM you would think after charging everyone $50 for xbox live, they would make things like themes and gamerpics free. i would love to see sales numbers on those things by the way. it would give an accurate reading on the percentage of dumb idiots that are on xbl.
