Tim McGraw the Next Todd Palin? (The Boot)

Oct 25th 2008 9:16AM Uh....so where did Tim McGraw force his beliefs on anyone? He replied to a statement made by the Palin's in an interview. I highly doubt that McGraw only supports Obama because he "was told to" and was "promised a film career if he did". Besides, you obviously don't know anything about Obama and his policies. McCain is the one who has consistently voted against the military, NOT Obama. For example, the DVA gave a 20% to McCain and an 80% to Obama. The DVA, VetVoice, and the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (all non-partisan groups) have all ranked Obama higher because McCain REFUSES to vote for his fellow veterans!

I'm so sick of all these people saying stuff along the lines that Democrats are anti-American. If Democrats are so anti-American, don't you think the party would have dissolved long ago or would have ceased to become one of the two most common?

To Grandmother's House He Went (Politics Daily)

Oct 24th 2008 8:07PM Wow, people here will say anything! It's okay for Palin to spend 150K for clothing, but Obama can't go see a sick grandmother? Oh, and Tom, find something else to do with your time instead of spamming a damn message board. Seriously, get a damn life. I don't care who people vote for, but to just randomly bark about stuff that has been DISPUTED is just plain laziness. Cheer up. No one here has a life that bad and if anyone really thinks that the President (whomever that may be) can really do a whole lot, they must not know Congress.

Bon Jovi Angered By McCain's Use of His 'Home' (The Boot)

Oct 23rd 2008 8:10PM Tom Dobrucky: If Republicans want less government intervention, then they need to quit trying to legislate "moral" behavior. Banning abortion, gay marriage, and the next big hot topic is promoting government intervention in to the lives of citizens. BTW, the Wall Street bailout is socialism at its finest and it was supported by Reps and Dems. I don't think there's anything wrong with the government doing what it can to help its people. If they aren't there to st least occaisionally help citizens, what's the point of having it? I guess I think if the government wants to intervene in people's lives, such as the case with the banning abortion want, then there needs to be programming in place to help those who fall victim. On that topic, it seems most people who want abortion banned don't want to do anything to help the crisis pregnancy! (At least not after the baby is born!) You can't have both! Either we get a total nanny government or we get laissez-faire!

The Affirmative Case: Tommy For Obama (Politics Daily)

Oct 10th 2008 7:36PM Von: Please tell me where in the Bible it says that a Muslim man in his 40's is the anti-Christ. What? You can't? Oh, that's right! IT WAS NEVER MENTIONED IN THE BIBLE. Silly Von!

Sheesh, people need to stop getting all their info from forwarded emails.

Luv Coach Q&A: I am pregnant! (Blackvoices Main)

Do what is right for you. No one here, even one's who have been "in your shoes" know what's right for YOU.

The Final Blow: Palin on Roe V. Wade (Politics Daily)

Oct 1st 2008 11:11PM sandhi3: How dare you have the audacity to say the Republican party is the "Christian" party. You are not God. You are not Jesus. I'm pretty sure you are not a disciple. Where do you get the idea that God or Jesus support a particular party? Both parties have traditional Christian and secular views. Neither party is Christian. They are what they are: politics. Maybe you ought to read the Bible you claim to know.

"As you do not know how the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a woman with child, so you do not know the work of God who makes everything.” (Ecclesiastes 11:5)

Soldier's Mom Blesses Barack's Bracelet (Politics Daily)

Oct 1st 2008 11:01PM Palin is an embarassment to American society. All she cares about is going to war with everyone in the world and fighting abortion. There's more pressing issues in America. McCain had many excellent choices for VP and he picked a raving lunatic. Obama didn't pick a winner either. Palin and Biden both have a problem with stretching the truth!

Palin Speech on Iran Blocked by Obama Camp (Politics Daily)

Sep 23rd 2008 12:33AM Darryl: I'd like to know where this liberal media is hiding, cos it sure seems most of it's conservative. I'd have to say you and your cohorts are all "sheep", too. No matter what eveidence they throw out about the joke called Palin, I bet you'd vote for her just cos she's not "liberal". Who's the sheep now?

McCain's Chances Grow in the Garden State (Politics Daily)

Sep 17th 2008 10:47AM Wow, I love how everyone keeps focusing on Obama's middle name. I also love how everyone is against people of other religions. (Nevermind the fact that Obama is not even a Muslim.) Using "Muslim" as a slur is just as bad as using "Christian" as a slur. It's pretty obvious that most of America knows nothing of true Islam, which is nothing like extremist Islam. There are plenty of people who are extremist in every religion. Historically, extremist Christians killed and tortured those who were non-Christian (forgetting the persecution that Christians received centuries prior) and today we have people who kill those who are different in the "name of Christ". There isn't a difference.

This whole nonsense of voting for one person, because it puts country first....what exactly does it mean to put country first? Does it mean keeping open the option to go to war with other countries, such as Russia, despite the fact our economy is in desperate need of repair? Does it mean taking away the incentives for employers to offer health insurance and expect emergency room physicians to serve as general practitioners? Does it mean repeatedly LYING to the American people and repeating those same LIES when called out on them?

I thought racists were only a minority of Americans when in reality it seems to be quite a few of them and very vocally so. Of course, until Sarah Palin breezed onto the scence, many seemed sexist. It must be that many conservatives have caught a case of feminism.

McCain had many great VP candidates to choose from and he chose someone who's done nothing but lie. Has she done anything great? I'm sure she has. However, what she's done negatively has outweighed the positives. Wanting to ban books while mayor speaks of Nazism. (Is Palin a Nazi? I highly doubt it, but the Nazis were avid book burners.) Supporting the Bridge to Nowhere until it became an albatross on the neck of Alaska and then denying that she ever supported it is nothing but backstepping. The so-called Troopergate is another embarrassment. Surely someone should hold off on big scandals until they've been in office a little longer than 2 years.

I won't vote for someone who will just blink their eyes and repeat the same lies over and over even after they've been disproven. I won't vote for someone who is going to continually erode away what little benefits I have. I won't vote for someone who will parade around a pregnant teenage daughter and gush over how "proud" she is of her. (Mother would have killed me if I'd announced I was pregnant at 17!) I won't vote for someone who wants to send America to war with yet another country while we STILL have people in America with nothing and no way to get it!

But, whatever. Everyone has their own minds made up. It's not like any of our spiels are going to sway anyone to vote in our own favor.

Women Using the Web to Find Abortion Drugs (Switched)

Jul 13th 2008 12:13AM Yeah....cos we all know EVERY man who impregnates a woman wants the baby! Geesh, what world have you been living in? All the single moms out there who's children's dads have nothing to do with their kids would love to know!

Here's an idea: How about you go ahead and start adopting babies that are currently in foster care? There are thousands of children waiting to be adopted and many NEVER do.
