The 25 Most Exquisitely Sad Songs in the Whole World (Spinner)
Feb 24th 2011 3:55PM Don't forget Carrie Underwood's Just a Dream. I can't get through that song without crying. I don't know how in the world she can sing that song without crying herself.
Elton John's 'Tiny Dancer' Isn't About Tony Danza After All (PopEater)
Jan 19th 2011 11:30AM This has always been one of my favorite songs by EJ and I never in my life have confused the Tiny Dancer lyrics with Tony Danza and I did grow up with Taxi and Who's the Boss.
Meghan McCain Slams Bristol Palin for Not Voting (PopEater)
Nov 5th 2010 1:40PM So what, she forgot to vote. It is not like one vote makes any election anyway. I have never heard that a candidate won by one single vote. It is usually by a couple hundred at the least. If she wasn't busy being a single mom, an activist, and on a "reality" show, I'm sure she would have voted. Give the girl a break.
First? The Hoff Shocked 'Dancing' Fans Dropped Him So Fast (PopEater)
Sep 23rd 2010 9:13AM If David H wants to win a popularity contest he needs to enter one in Germany where they love him and they think that he can sing. Otherwise, here in America, he is a has been and those tapes his daughter made are not helping matters at all. Those of us who were unfortunate enough to see him sing and "dance" on AGT already knew he would fail miserably.
Besides, I read an interview where he wanted to throw the contest because he has the hots for his dancing partner and she would not date anyone while they are on the show.
Ryanair CEO questions the need for the co-pilot - wants to replace them with flight attendants (Gadling)
Sep 11th 2010 8:47AM Sorry if someone on here has already asked this question, but here goes.
I thought there was a rule that the cockpit door had to be secured from the inside, preventing potential terrorists from taking over the plane. If you remove the co-pilot and replace him/her with a Flight Attendant with a pilots' license how is he/she supposed to get into the cockpit? If you say you will issue him/her a special key, what is the sense in locking the cockpit door in the first place? The terrorist would either kill him/her and take the key or force him/her to open the door. If it is a combo lock, they could still force him/her to open the door.
If you build in a special auxiliary cockpit that can take over the controls from the main cockpit, again what is the point in locking the first cockpit?
If this happens, I will never fly any airline that accepts this thinking. I driven 20 hours before, I can do it again.
'Cake Boss' Co-Star Arrested for Sexual Assault (PopEater)
Aug 27th 2010 3:24PM I feel so bad for everyone involved. I hope both families (Buddy's and the victim's) can start the healing process soon.
The Baby Diaries -- a Day in the Life of a New Mom (Lemondrop)
Aug 5th 2010 3:44PM Look, best advice you will ever get comes from real, living, breathing human beings who have been there. All those books are CRAP. If your motherly instincts are telling you that your son is hungry, then feed him. However, there is one thing that you are doing that is wrong and I'm probably going to be tarred and feathered for saying this. STOP PICKING HIM UP EVERY TIME HE CRIES!!! You are effectually telling him that to get his way, all he has to do is cry. If he fusses a little when you put him down right after he falls asleep, let him fuss. He will eventually (within a few seconds to minutes) realize he is still tired and decide to fall asleep again.
Another piece of advice that I got was not to loose my own identity. You are a mother, yes. But you are still who you were before Henry was born. Ask your mother or grandmother or favorite Aunt to come over one afternoon to watch him and you go out with your girlfriends to lunch or you go get your hair done or your nails done or surprise your husband with lunch. This also goes for your husband as well. And don't forget that ALL married couples need to have their non-child nights out once in a while. Maybe not right now, but within a few weeks, you and your husband need a night as man and wife. Go to dinner and/or a movie. Or if you can't afford it, then just go for a walk without the baby. I truly believe that my marriage collapsed because I forgot I was also someone's wife.
Your baby is absolutely adorable and GOD's gift to you and your husband. Trust your GOD given motherly instincts and throw out the books. Ask someone trusted to come over one afternoon, take a shower, get dressed and go continue your prebaby life. When you come home, you will be a new person and less stressed which in turn will cause your precious bundle of joy to be less stressed as well.
Good Luck :-)
Lance Armstrong Calls Outside Magazine Cover 'Lame Bullsh-t' (Fanhouse Backporch)
Jun 18th 2010 9:36AM Andynnj, learn to stay on point with the story. The story was about him being upset with people photo shopping his pic to their own liking. me, me, me & medzork - I agree with you both and don't forget, he did this while battling cancer.
I don't understand why people feel the need to photo shop anyway. This was just stupid on the part of the mag. There was no reason whatsoever for them to photo shop the t-shirt in the first place. If they wanted to make a big thing about his age, then make it in the headline, don't photo shop.
Delta Puts Kids on Wrong Flights, Says Sorry (AOL Travel News)
Jun 10th 2010 12:55PM I never had to send my children on flights by themselves, thank God. However, if I had ever had to, I would have chosen a non-stop flight if one was available. That way, there would have been no chance of them getting lost during a layover.
Perez Hilton Lobbies For Simon Cowell's Job on 'Idol' (AOL TV)
Feb 25th 2010 8:42AM I haven't watched AI in two years since I'm taking night classes. However, if Howard Stern or Perez Hilton is added to the judging panel I will never, ever, ever watch this show ever again. Paula was irritating enough, but at least she was good for a laugh. These two just want to make me puke.
