Is 'Manhunt 2' the Most Violent Video Game Ever? (Switched)
Nov 2nd 2007 10:56AM The people lambasting this blogger and sticking up for this gratuitous violence sound like teenagers themselves and not real responsible adults. I would honestly question a person's parenting abilities if they buy games such as this one for kids below a particular age. As games become more and more interactive, it will be harder and harder for parents to explain to little ones that this is just fiction. Movies, music videos, TV, and previously released violent games have desensitized us to violence and violent content. I think those defending this game are not only desensitized themselves to violence, thus perpetuating it, but they are also for further perpetuation and desensitization of needless violence. Besides, nobody seems even willing to discuss how this particular game sheds a negative light on those with mental illensses. We, as humans, have all this potential, and I frankly think we can do much better than interactive violence.
Stacy Hedger's 'Star Wars' Trumpet (AOL Video Blog)
Oct 13th 2007 10:28AM It's obvious what happened was she probably didn't get music that was transposed in the right key or the recording provided was in a different key than the music she was playing. She should've known that ahead of time, chosen a different song or made the right adjustments.
Ann Coulter Says Jews Need 'Perfecting' (News Bloggers)
Oct 11th 2007 8:43PM Ann Coulter is a joke. She proves time and again that she is racist, elitist, antisemitic, intolerant and extremely ignorant. How her outlandish claims can be taken seriously by anybody is beyond me. I don't think anybody needs to shut her up; she does enough to discredit herself. I have no need to call her a bitch, slut or whore like some people on here. To marginalize her based on her gender is to make yourself no more informed than she is. She says enough ignorant things that her gender doesn't even need to be brought into it.
Alicia Silverstone Bares All in PETA Ad (AOL Video Blog)
Sep 20th 2007 8:52PM People posting here make me shake my head. If you don't want to agree with PETA or eat vegetarian, by all means don't. Why is this ad shoving veganism down a person's throat? It's no different than the ads out there for various meats and dietary programs. It's just one way of living life, not THE way. Alicia, nude or not, expresses what works for her. Do what works for you. Why do people have to make a huge deal out of it? It really isn't all tha contraversial.
Bizarre Britney Fan (AOL Video Blog)
Sep 12th 2007 10:36AM I saw this video on YouTube over the weekend, and I didn't think the guy could've possibly been serious. I thought it was a cross-dresser who acts badly. I couldn't think the tears could've possibly been real. It just seemed so phony, like the guy was making fun of himself and of Brit in an offhand way. Who knows though? There are some werid folks on here!
McGruff Tramples a Kid (AOL Video Blog)
Aug 30th 2007 11:22AM I really think you need to quit writing blogs if you are that blind and that stupid. Seriously, the kid fell in front of him, and he had no choice. He fell too and probably couldn't see everything in that costume. In our society, maybe it's more important to "take a bite out of stupidity!"
Banish the muffin top (That's Fit)
Aug 22nd 2007 3:14PM I wouldn't be caught dead in jeans and shirts that show "muffin top." I'm a very overweight woman, and the last thing I want to do is draw even more attention to it. Women just need to stop trying to wear what's in magazines and pick out clothing that flatters them and their body types, whether they are 115lbs or 300lbs. No matter what some "expert" says about trends, they aren't fashionable if you pick the wrong size or they simply aren't cut to flatter your curves. A lot of clothes are only cut to flatter the anorexic 90-100lb waif, and ladies, most of us simply aren't like that. Wear what flatters your body. Screw the magazines and TV shows that tell you otherwise. Also, you're beautiful as you are, so you don't need to show every inch of skin trying to fit into another person's definition of beauty.
Amy Winehouse Ditches Rehab for a Second Time (Spinner)
Aug 21st 2007 4:26PM This is just another example of a person who was troubled from the start making it big, gaining undeserved attention. No, she's not a big talent or super vocalist. She sounds like a male. The music itself is rehashed Motown which isn't bad but not helped by the vocals one bit. The content of her musical is questionable. People sensationalize the idea of her going in and out of rehab, but if people actually listened to the first line of her one song, they'd see there's nothing sensational or suprirsing about this.
Usher Ties the Knot ... Finally (AOL Hot Searches)
Aug 7th 2007 9:55AM I think I understand why people are being so brutal to this woman and accusing her of things. She's not of the same "status" as usher. She's not some actress, successful singer or model of equal status. If she were, people would be more accepting, no matter what the age difference is. It's part of our thought patterns to believe a person who isn't as rich marries for money alone. The more you hate this woman, the more you are just showing how preporgrammed you are by society. If/when they get divorced and if she goes for more than half of the estate, then maybe the Gold Digger label will fit. For now, just leave them alone. This isn't the 18th or 19th century where people of different econimic status can't marry.
Carry your stuff in a pink frilly bra(g) (Stylelist)
Aug 3rd 2007 10:26AM Gee, this looks like the kinda thing a person from a trailor park would think was a good purse. Give me a break. Bras belong UNDER the clothes. I even think that is trashy for on the club scene. I'll stick with my Vera bags, tyvm.
