Oct 23rd 2009 10:16AM We were just talking about this at r salon yesterday. One of my clients is a doctor here in Phoenix and was saying that the drug companies are not being allowed to take them out to lunch anymore while they push thier products.With the salesman not paying for the lunch Doctors are not taking the time to go hear the drug companies pitches.So if they are not getting the sales from lunch meetings or through consumers requesting the drugs...how will they generate sales? Maybe research and development will suffer too...? she said 90 % of the sales staff will be let go....more high paying jobs lost. I already see the clients at r salon are starting to come less often and post dating checks.... r salon is just one example of a small biz hurt by loss of jobs.
