Nokia N97 hands-on part II: the reckoning {Engadget}

Dec 4th 2008 8:01PM I'll give up my Samsung Omnia ONLY to get one of these babies.
But what Nokia really need to fix is the bloated, buggy and umbelivabely irritating "Nsuite" sync'ing software. It was the main reason I gave up my old trusty N95-8gb; beside the undeniable fact that the Omnia is a better device and waaay cooler, of course.
This N97 might just be the kind of thing that can drive me back to S60 though.

Nokia N97 hands-on {Engadget}

Dec 3rd 2008 1:57PM Ok, so this will probably be better than my Samsung Omnia but until it comes out (and in my pocket ) I still have the best smatphone available on this planet.
Let's just hope that Nokia do something about the bloated, buggy and irritating Nokia Nsuite sync'ing software, which was the only real letdown in the N95-8Gb.

Mythical white Touch Diamond gets handled {Engadget Mobile}

Dec 1st 2008 6:26AM @ Andrew
No, you have never, ever touched the screen of an Omnia.
If you did and that's what you think of it then: you suck.

Motorola Krave ZN4 hands-on {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 30th 2008 5:44PM Yeah, kinda interesting with that wierdo lid trick, but usability which is 80% software related comes always first.
I mean if you can't browse engadget what shoud you use a phone for? Phoning?
Naah, my Omnia is still the best option (by far), unless the HTC 4G gets outta the Russian steppes and makes it to my pocket.

HTC HD? Tried. Sucks
HTC pro? Owned. Sucks
Storm? ..Mmmm.. sucks.
iPhone? Don't get me started. Sucks
And come to think of it you suck too.
Yea, you do.

iPhone 3G unlocking down to a tough, old-fashioned science in Vietnam {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 30th 2008 2:13PM I'm pretty sure Do will be happy to unlock your also your Storm, Omnia, HTCs etc.
It's not the iphone to have started these (note the plural) cottage industrieS , it's just the right mix of human intelligence and healthy greed, that , as G. Gekko taught to us all is "GOOOD, very GOOOD"

BlackBerry Storm update leaks to the masses {Engadget}

Nov 30th 2008 11:37AM My dear friends in the land of the free, you are in luck.
Forget the Storm, the ridicolous iPhone or the irritating HTC gizmos.
I hear that you too now can get hold of Samsung's i900 aka the Omnia.

If you want the only touch screen smartphone worth to live with , follow these four easy steps:
1) Get a Samsung Omnia
2) Swear at Samsung for not installing a voice dialing program
3) Install a voice dialing software
4) Enjoy the best phone on the market ATM

Verizon announces Samsung Omnia for $249.99 {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 30th 2008 11:19AM I had this phone for over a week now and I truly belive it's the best of the best of the best.
None of the annoying , irritating quirks of HTC phones (I gave back my touch pro, and annulled my HD order to get this baby), or the limitations and failures of iPhone.
Ok , I never tried the BB storm, but now I dont care anymore, coz this is how a touch screen should be and behave to make me love it.

it only has two faults: one little and one very big,
The power button is minuscule (the little problem)

And the big problem is that incredibly Samsung did'nt include in the million features of this phone a voice control/voice dialing program.
You must install by yourself MS voice Command or (better) Cyberon Speed Dial, which work ok on the Omnia, but even with them you cannot start a call from a bluetooth headset, which is a big minus for everyone who drives a car, a bike, or a monocycle.

Let's hope Samsung will feel our pain and do something about this unexcusable fault in a smartphone of this class and price.

Nov 30th 2008 11:00AM That phone sucks, no matter what colour it is.
My Omnia kicks ass, no matter its colour (of the Omnia, not the ass )

$168,000 Harion speaker set crafted from heat-resistant glass, fairy dust {Engadget}

Nov 29th 2008 10:05PM Naaaw, in my opinion they sound like 64,350 $ speakers max.
But apart for the stupid price, I think they are bloody horrible looking things: try to imagine them covered with the dust that always gets stuck to HIFI components and the few dead flies that will get trapped in and around the glass, and those filthy greasy cable hanging down from the middle of them (/great design that)and the stains from last party's martinis and last night vomit.
Naah , I would definitely never give more than 6 grands for these.

Linux hits the iPhone! {Engadget}

Nov 29th 2008 9:50AM Forget the BS iPhone, the quirky Storm and the irritating HTC phones, IF you want EVERYTHING and you want it cool, easy and fast you gotta get a Samsung Omnia.
Oh boy, I love my phone!
