Head Banger (MyDaily)
Jul 17th 2010 10:10AM Nobama clearly knows cycling and is absolutely correct in his assessment. I think it is tragic that this is what the media picks up on, and gets TOTALLY WRONG! Reporters should know what they are writing about. And those who comment should perhaps ask questions instead of condeming something they simply don't understand. Sign of the times in general eh?
Pink Falls During Concert and Is Rushed to Hospital (PopEater)
Jul 16th 2010 6:16PM P!nk is an incredible singer and performer. The "trapeze" work she has incorporated into her show is just incredible. I can not imagine how horrible the people who clipped her in must feel! I think this gal is tremendously talented, gives her all in performances and is one hell of a woman. She has my total respect. Wishing you a swift recover from this P!nk! One tough cookie.
Bob Sheppard, Yankee Stadium's 'Voice of God,' Dies at 99 (Fanhouse MLB Blog)

Bob Sheppard, Yankee Stadium's 'Voice of God,' Dies at 99 (Fanhouse MLB Blog)
Jul 11th 2010 11:37PM What a life this wonderful man had! I know his son, and I know what a treasure he was to that family. Bob, we will miss you so much! Your golden tones will never be forgotten - (especially since your son, fortunately, sounds so much like you!) Too bad he's in finance, not sports!
Is This 'Single Ladies' Video Too Hot for Tots? (ParentDish)
May 13th 2010 7:09PM Part of the challenge is adults making their own judgements and interpretations. The song should never have been chosen for such young girls - but note, when I was their age, I did tap and ballet and aside from not having a bare midriff, our outfits were similar - and this was in the late 1950's!!!!
Quit projecting folks! But - I would never have approved the song being used to begin with. They'll get there soon enough on their own.
Fiat apologizes to China for Richard Gere commercial (Autoblog)
Jun 23rd 2008 7:36PM No need for apology. Fiat is making a big mistake. China needs to learn to become more humane and deal with the fact that they are not very liked by many people right now because of THEIR actions. Someone here posted that they didn't apologise to all the pet owners whose animals died or people whose kids got sick on the lead paint. For Fiat to apologise simply shows that they have no principals to stand behind and it's all about money. The ad is beautiful. Where is anyone showing any integrity? No where. The good news is - Gere probably donated what he was paid to Tibet, he's that kind of guy.....rasberry to Fiat and to China.
Online Scammers Using Pets to Get Your Cash (Switched)

Detoxing: Unnecessary? (That's Fit)
Oct 1st 2007 6:23PM We do get bombarded with all sorts of toxins due to our present lifestyles and the changes in naturally grown produce - as well as what has happened to the meat (and dairy) industry. Life in 2007 is very different than it was even in 1960.
I think an annual detox is a good thing. You need to approach it with wisdom and appropriate planning. If you have a generally toxic lifestyle - you will be sick for awhile when your body is clearing out the garbage.
See a nutritionist not a doctor (unless it's an ND) for assistance. The American Western Medicine model is for emergency care - not health care. See and alternative practitioner for "Health Care". It's a whole different approach.
My first detox made me very sick. Never had problems since. Same thing applies with illness - if you let the body do it's thing without interferring you will get very different results than if you supress the system with antibiotics or other western meds.
Use your intellegence and research what you're doing. Have a support system. Be sensible. Listen to your body.
We all trust MD's too much with out health. They should be there for emergency situations - there are other's with much better training for actual Health.
Be your own self reliant health care provider - and use your head about it.
Dyson's 400-MPH Hand Dryer (Switched)
Sep 14th 2007 7:48PM Airblade....something very violent and disturbing about the name, especially when hands (or any extremity) is involved. I would recommend they change the name, but the product itse;f sounds great.
MRG, you ought to contact Dyson about your idea.....this could be your big one!
Stylefoul: The fashion mullet (Stylelist)
Oct 6th 2006 4:02PM There is another side to this story. Some of us have thinner hair in the front and thicker hair in the back. With the "mullett cut" the thinner hair is short and tends to look fuller, and in the back, one can actually grow some length.
